Dude the vibe is immaculate, concept is brilliant, and this is so nice to just lay down and watch you do your thing. Shots are amazing. Do you take requests? Photograph a volcano 🌋
Great video! I'm not normally a fan of POV stuff, but this works, so thank you for using that awkward chest mount! One question, the shutter sound, it sounds more like a slide projector advancing. May I suggest recording your F-1 firing and then you advancing and using that in place of the FX you have? Looking forward to your next video and loving the images!
It’s an incredible camera! I have used Lomo 800 for portraits and it’s incredible! Since this video I’ve changed my scanning method and I think I have a much better color to my images and portraits look amazing with it! :)
Excellent work! How far were you stopping down? F8? F11? I love the super in focus look. That’s what has been bothering me about a lot of film photography. Seems like a lot of shallow depth of field and stuff is out of focus that should be in focus. I think your method (at least in my brain) makes the most amount of sense for shooting manual focus with film.
Thanks for the kind words! Most lenses are sharpest around f8 and fall off as you go in either direction. I believe the vast majority of these were shot around f11 or so which is how I tend to shoot most of my work at this point! :)
@@KelseySmithPhotography Thank you for the response and info. As I’m getting into film photography, your video sure eased a lot of my worries about focus. Take care.
Hey, really enjoyed this! My favorite photo is the one of the roller skates, it has such a classic look. My 2 cents would be to go through the photos and give your thoughts. I know it makes the process of making the video so much longer, but I think it would be cool to hear your opinion after getting the roll developed!
Hey Cody! So I ask my lab to scan them in flat and do the enhanced scans. Once they get delivered to me I edit them to the way I remember the scenes looking by bringing up the shadows, messing with contrast, warmth, and clarity! :)
Such amazing shots🔥🔥. Can we have a Canon New F1 review pretty please sir?? Cuz it's one of my top list film cameras to go for and i want to know some pros and cons. (There aren't a lot of Canon F1 in dept review like Nikon F3 so...) Thank you sir ❤️😁
Thank you so much!! I’ll see what I can do!! Up until I got my M6 it was my main camera for 4 years so I think I know it pretty well! Thank you so much for watching :-)
@@KelseySmithPhotography Thank you Kelsey for your prompt response. Can you please provide more details for the Darkroom lab, such as the address, website as I am staying in Kuwait not in the States, in order to contact them and find out the possibility to send them the negative rolls and send me back a download links for the scan. Thank you again.
@@GeorgiosKalaydjian You’re very welcome! You can visit TheDarkRoom.com to get more info! They’re wonderful, professional, and fast! They’re located in California, so I’m not 100% sure if they’ll take shipments from Kuwait, but I’m pretty sure they will! You just go to their website and fill out the little form they have, print out the shipping label and attach it to your letter. It’s super easy!
I would use FAST Films for LOW LIGHT Photography especially at NIGHT times and not In days times Also you got lots of sun lights in your country so no need for a FAST FILM
You're correct, but I also just enjoy the specific colors of Lomography 800 and I like being able to use it in any situation including indoors! I rarely shoot in similar lighting conditions so I'd prefer to just have a faster film for various situations!

I’ll photograph my legs burning in lava
You have a really good eye (and brain) for making photos, not just taking pictures. Really good composition.
Beautiful shots!
Thank you!! :)
Very enjoyable! Subscribed.
Thank you so much! :)
The shot at 5:32 is so good
Thanks so much Caleb! :-)

Really love this! Can‘t wait to see more 🥰
Thank you so much Dominik! Testing out my new Leica M6 to make sure it works and then I’ll have to make a video on it! :)

Caught your post on Analog Talk Podcast on FB. Great episode. Good music choice and excellent images. Looking forward to your next video. ✌

@@KelseySmithPhotography I have a few videos myself, and more to come
Good colour for 800 iso, the f1 looks good also
thanks so much! :)
Loved this video! The F-1 was the first 35mm I ever purchased. Have you ever used that film stock for portraits? If so, how do you like it?

There aren't enough F-1's in vids. Very cool.
Thank you so much Adam! I haven’t used it as much lately, but I’m itching to get back out there with it again! :-)

5:32 my favorite shot👍🏼

What do you ask for when getting your film scanned? Do you do standard scans or enhanced? Or any custom processing?
