Glad you liked it! I'm debating on doing some more content aimed at aspiring VR youtubers, something to kind of fill in the gaps when VR slows down, and I like helping people!
Congratulations! Even though you really enjoy VR, I know you work hard and make great content so it's awesome you are getting some from all the time, effort and money you've put into the channel. Cheers!
This was cool! You certainly can’t make a living off of RUclips. Their cut is too much. Most RUclipsr get sponsored or have subscribers/patreons. Even then it’s hard.
RUclips actually tells you what they charge advertisers as well, it looks like they pay content creators around 50%. Which I actually think is fair. They have a platform that allows me to upload unlimited videos to, and those videos automatically get advertised to people who are interested in them.
You are 100% correct. If a video is longer than 8 minutes, you can enable what is called mid roll ads, and YT allows you to pick the placement of those ads.
Edit 3: Massive jump this time!! This video saw a spike in viewership as RUclips showed it to more people. It’s now up to $1.07
c'maon, a couple of cents now?
@ lol thank you, just got the data back. Usually takes YT a day or two.
Very interesting
thank you for the transparency. this is helpful for anyone getting into YT for a career.
Thanks Ricky! I always enjoy the behind the scenes stuff myself
This was super interesting. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Farmer!! Appreciate your support.
Keep going 🎉
This was interesting. Despite watching RUclips for ages I’ve never seen ‘behind the curtain’ before
Thanks! Glad you liked it! I’ve always like “behind the scenes” stuff so I’m thinking about doing more of it.
Great video! What do you do for category (like gaming, life, entertainemnt etc) or do you leave it blank?
I always do gaming and input the game name.
You’re talking during upload?
Thanks

very interesting
I think there may also be some math into how long a video has to be to throw out ads

I am using adblocks
Doesn’t bother me any. Makes me curious as to what happens with ad revenue. I’m guessing it doesn’t count as a view for that.
Thanks for watching!
