    Suckamaniacs! On Weekend Wankshop 127, Uncle Ben here is gonna teach you how to play the AWESOME Adrian Vandenberg solo on Here i Go Again by Whitesnake! This is a sick solo with some great 80's shred phrasing and some super fast runs towards the end. You're gonna have a good time with this one.
    Playing my Suhr White Tiger Modern MACH II! This guitar is just too much fun to play, and it sounds incredible! Perfect for hot licks like these.
    Stay tuned for more hot licks next week!

    That final run has been a mistery for a looong time. Thanks uncle Ben! You should do the Still of the Night solo too!

      Awesome Uncle Ben, I have been asking him to do Still Of The Night guitar solo too. That run at the end is the hardest part.

    Solos I thought were IMPOSSIBLE are now possible with Ben. I’m not sure if everyone else gets your style teaching as well as I do but damn it really is my speed. Ty I think my speed is probably a lame cousin who has an older brother.

  • @MrMetalhorse

    The little pause in the solo is fucking with me. I'm finishing too early.
    (Story of my life)

  •  Месяц назад +7

    Awesome job. Though there's still a few tiny things that are a bit different in the original. At the start of the last run, it's not E on 12th fret, but F on 13th. And around the end of the run on 2nd string, E is picked 2 times. I dissected & learned this solo a long time ago, and it wasn't easy to hear all the notes properly.

    • @peterk.rosenthal1417
      @peterk.rosenthal1417 29 дней назад

      My good sir, if you have an F on the 13th instead of an E on the 12 then you need to intonate your guitar.

    •  29 дней назад +2

      @@peterk.rosenthal1417 What? Everybody has F note on 13th fret & E on 12th fret of their 6th string, if the guitar is in standard tuning. I'm just saying that instead of playing the 12th fret E note, 13th fret F is played on the 6th string during the fast run part of the original solo.

    Excellent lesson as always Uncle Ben! Any chance we could get an Alex Lifeson lesson? Personally I struggle with wrapping my head around the legato, bending, and pinch harmonics in the Under the Shadow section of The Necromancer; there are no real good covers or lessons anywhere for me to look at to get a better feel for what Alex is doing. Please help, the first solo in that section is one of the most incredible things I've ever heard and it's easily his best solo in my opinion. A look at the solos in the Presentation or Soliloquy sections of 2112 would also be much appreciated. Or even a lesson on La Villa Strangiato if you're up for it. Many thanks my dude
