Nice video: here you show that recording , mixing and exporting drums or a mix and perhaps mastering is more than just use a recorder with 32 bit..
That recorder is just 1 element in the whole chain. Very nice studio and workflow. Compliments. High quality!
Just regarding DAW: I have the impression Reaper is not the most efficient/luxuary/user friendly DAW for mixing drums. Tried several types. For in depth drum mixing i really like Studio One professional. I think the newest versions of Ableton also has to offer a lot.
I can recommend to experiment with the newest Sound Radix Auto Align 2.
You are doing great. Best wishes.

Thanks! Yes, the recorder is just one element in the chain. Important to note…
On DAWs, I’ve used several others and frankly prefer Reaper for its flexibility and potential for automation. There is a bit of a learning curve, but if you invest in it, you can develop a process that saves a ton of time. I have a top-tier Ableton Live license, but prefer Reaper for tracking and mixing drums, vocals and other instruments.
I looked into Auto Align and frankly, I’m not convinced that it’s helpful. In a practical sense, I don’t like the way it sounds. Technically, I’m not convinced that it’s representative of a true listening experience to phase-align everything perfectly. In a real listening environment, sounds from different instruments reach the ears at different times. It’s an interesting topic to explore, though.
