We got 2 labradoodles George is a sweet shy boy wool coat, Alvin has a wiry coat but my gosh he is something else, he is definitely getting a Mohawk cut tomorrow 🤣
I'm a groomer and I always do the comb test for when doodle owners drop off their dog. If I can't run a comb through the entire coat it gets shortened!!!
People don't understand if they don't brush their dogs we can't save the coat. Also they don't understand how painful it is for the dogs to have the mats brushed out. Sometimes I wish I could demat an owners hair with the slicker brush and see how they feel. So frustrating!
Omg…I have a bordoodle and his hair is as long as mine. Legally I have to keep him groomed as he’s a service dog and goes into public so he gets brushed every day and bathed twice a week. I can’t even go more than 2 days without brushing mine. It’s honestly really sad that people don’t brush these dogs as I’m sure it’s extremely painful for them with matts.
As a professional groomer, NO groomer I’ve worked with wants to cut off a doodle coat but 9 times out of 10, ppl don’t brush their dogs right, and think they can’t get away with 6 month grooms. It’s a huge anxiety for many groomers having to tell the owner I’m sorry it’s matted. So even if you say your brushing. Your not brushing right. That’s why doodles get cut down so often. My doodle has never been shaved, only hand scissored and brushed properly. It’s not the groomers fault. It’s the owners. 98% of the time
@@Oritasho Very true!!! I have a rule in my shop.... humanity over vanity...I tell my groomers were not being lazy like some clients because I don't allow them to demat a dog that has more then 5% mats an those are typically knots in the ears an tail which isnt a biggie ,I just refuse to torture a dog for hours just to give a client that long fluffy haircut they "just absolutely have to have" when they clearly aren't even willing to put in the work and brush/comb them at home few times a week in between .... honestly unless it's a new client I don't usually see matted doodles in my shop,I require them to be on a 4-6 week schedule and if they refuse or schedule then cancel then I just don't book them anymore lol.... I get so annoyed whenever clients come in with there pelted doodle and the doodles paperwork from the breeder that flat out says they don't have to brush the doodles because there "such low maintenance"

Kennel cut is great for working doodles that lay on public floors and get the long fur really gross
👍❤️
God NO, if I wanted a short haired dog, I'd have gotten a Lab.
these haircuts dont look very good.
Keep your opinion to yourself please.
Trust me they’re not my favorite either, but it’s what happens when you get a doodle
Look, if you don't like the haircuts, then why even bother get a goldendoodle? Lmao
Thank you… but please talk faster. Sooooo slow…. We Appreciate you!
