Thanks for this. I have had money down to reserve my place in line (Morgan Spares in upstate NY) since June 2022. The lack of a standard tranny is unfortunate. The last time I spoke with a dealer here in the US (Merlin Auto Group in Atlanta) they said that orders for actually configured cars might start being taken in very early 2024. Fingers crossed. This will be my third Morgan. I put over 70,000 miles on a '98 +8 I purchased new and am now driving a righthand drive '69 four place 4/4 with an HPE engine (Kent England) and 5 speed tranny. If you do make it over to the states with your Mog you will find plenty of Morgan enthusiasts who will welcome you with open arms. W.R. Ward, Gold Canyon, AZ.
Hi Mr W. Hope things are good with you. I promise you won’t be disappointed with the Auto box. The 23model has addressed any issues with low torque changes (the box was originally designed for the weight of a Z4). The chassis is really good now, and the handling more precise. Power appears to just keep in coming. It’ll be worth the wait. Any ideas on your spec yet?
@@julian_theviews Thanks for your reply. My current 4/4 is sort of a McLaren orange, about the color of your shirt in the video. I think I will go with that. And ... cream colored hard top, standard wheels in black, air con, mounted spare with luggage rack and spotlights. Still thinking the interior but natural ash under the dash and on the console. And ... a baseball cap to cover the BMW shifter when I'm out of the car. Regards.
Thank you for the update. The 4 cylinder will be fine I guess but the autobox is hmmmmm. Looking forward to seeing your build all done.
I have to say the auto box is good and the performance it better than the manual. Not sure if it’ll have the same driver engagement.
