@@Windrave The Transwarp Drive, as spoken of in Star Trek III, was little more than the next generation Warp Drive. Its not what Voyager twisted it into. If you look at the displays, created by Michael Okuda for the Enterprise-A bridge as seen in Star Trek IV, the engineering displays mention Transwarp multiple times. This implies that the same next generation drive was installed in the new Enterprise. And considering how fast Excelsior gets across the quadrant in Undiscovered Country, one can assume her drive is the same upgrade. ... all that being said,... the TOS films do a piss poor job of portraying proper distance and travel time in any fashion.
I doubt Styles would have gone all-in to try to destroy the Enterprise, he would have been trying to disable or re-capture it, so I don't think you would have seen that many phaser blasts and torpedoes being fired. Interesting 'what-if' though.
@@Akm72 How else do you disable a ship at warp, except to fire upon it? They do say "stand by tractor beam" but that doesn't mean they're gonna use it at Warp (other episodes show how dangerous that is), but rather use it to take the disabled hulk of the Enterprise back under tow after disabling it. Either way, weapons will need to be fired. And as the Klingons had proven, one good shot to the engine would knock out the automation center Scotty had installed, making the ship completely inoperable.
Excelsior is my favorite ship, would have loved to see one in action at least one more time. I suppose if we get Star Trek: Legacy I can settle for an Obena or Excelsior-II though
Pretty cool to see a TMP version of this chase scene from into darkness, Although I am interested to see your take on the TMP version! It reminds of the time an animator Quantum designs did into darkness chase scene for the TOS Era
Since Enterprise B was short lived it would of been cool if Picard ended with Enterprise G being a neo-Excelsior Class. That way we could get some Excelsior love in cannon.
I hate the ugly NuTrek warp effect. TNG-ENT era style warp effect was best. With the new style I think I am watching either Star Wars or some kind of anime
this is literally a what if, if the Excelsior wasn't sabotaged.
Possibly, assuming the transwarp drive worked.
@@Windrave Excelsior can chase Enterprise just at warp

My headcanon of into darkness
If only they put the excelsior as is in the new series. It would look tremendously good. I would have loved to see this on the big screen, well done!

Your good on blender
Looks good! I think pulling the sound from the scene in Into Darkness would kick this up a notch.
OMG this. It’s. Wait. It’s over so quick. Damn. Well done I think. LOL
curious, are you going to make a little short film with the excelsior chasing the enterprise?.. would love to see it
AWESOOOOMEE!!!
This is really epic
More!! ❤❤❤
Dayum! That looks awesome. Curious how you made the warp tunnel effect if you don't mind explaining how you made it?
I’ve been thinking of doing some tutorials, I’ll keep your request in mind! 😊
@@TU-CGI oh i'd love some tutorial i'll get into blender once i got a new pc and i'll definitely try to learn THIS level of just coolness
