    On mine, you have to go threw the dangling tail 1st it has the small ring. Then the rings you are working off of. If not it just runs right threw the working ringings. What kind is that... I have forgot my 1st ring before it sucks going back up.

    What if you don’t have the little ball to retrieve?

    • @arbor1500
      @arbor1500  5 месяцев назад

      You can find a small caribeiner that will go through the big ring but not through the small ring and will work the same or part store has those bungee with the ball at the end they work well to

    Hi nice explanation
    can you retrieve with a knot instead of a retrieval ball ?
    and btw your SIP pants are chainsaw protected? if so how are they?
    I have Innovation 2 and the stitching started to fall apart pretty quick
    materials were high quality and comfortable but the stitching appeared to be weak.

      Seva Mikitas, if you tie a knot it may not be able to pass through the bigger ring upon retrieval, but unless its in an easy crotch or on a spar, your split eye should get it. And about the pants there not chainsaw proof, but they are very durable ive had them for 2 years no rips, nice and breathable and they have stretchy material, one more thing they are close to water proof and oil / water doesnt even stick on them at all

    Am I the only one that gets super nervous about it failing? If so would anyone not recommend using this around the trunk of a sabal palmetto?

    • @andrekelly1825
      @andrekelly1825 2 года назад

      That's what I was thinking. Seems like it would slip on a palm.

      @@andrekelly1825 actually I’d like to report that I’ve climbing sabal palms and have climbed several hundred at least over the last year using this method for descent and it’s worked very nicely
