That transmission is now one of those demonstration models that have the cut away sections, and exploded view.

this is a prime example what trans blankets and driveshaft loops are made for. glad I have them on our burnout cars!
If the new calipers still give you troubles, try replacing the rubber flex lines going to them. They are known to collapse inside and block the fluid from going back towards the master

JhDiesel you definitely want to go with the vintage air setup for sure!!! I have put on several different air systems on different vehicles and the best kit I have found is definitely the vintage air!!! There directions are really good, the system helps clean up the engine bay and they are definitely the coldest air out of all the different systems out there that I have found!!! You can definitely have the entire setup done in a day also with having to put the new plate on the firewall and plum the new lines, all the wiring and mounting everything!!! Just double check all your measurements and mockup everything before the final drilling of anything and it will help you make sure everything is where it will need to go and make sure everything will fit properly before final assembly!!!! You will definitely love it for sure!!! I have noticed with other kits that things have to be modified to fit properly and end up taking much longer to install!!! The vintage air systems I thought were way over priced at first but after getting the vintage air system and seeing the quality of the parts and the ease of installation of the system I definitely understand why they are so much for sure!!!!
There is a chunk missing out of the rear differential cover too.. that line might be from a reach around.

Just a suggestion you guys should turn that spring pinion wedge around to get you more negative pinion so when the axles TRYS to wrap it got a better starting point even with traction bars. We do this in truck pulling

Vintage Air makes the best and easiest kit for square bodys.
Make sure you have the correct balance flexplate. I did that before from having my flexplate not in the right orientation.

Old school lifted trucks are awesome!!
Probly have your master leaking fluid into the booster and holding pressure on it. Pop the vacuum fitting out of the boost and stick a ziptie down in there. If the booster has fluid in it, you found the problem. Happened to me after I replaced a bunch of other stuff trying to track down the issue of dragging brakes.

The front fender wells on the square body are cut a little higher than the back. They can be perfectly level but sometimes the fenders make it look a little higher in the front. Looking good to me like it is. Loving the content.

I had a truck and busted bellhousing on 3 trans ended up being wore out dowel pins. Might wanna check on those.

Try changing out both of the rubber hoses that go from the steel brake line to the caliper, I have had them collapse on the inside where you can't see it and it will give you a fit, it's a relatively cheap part to replace and I would just replace them regardless

That is exactly what I did to my big block shortbed 76 Chevy new years eve about 6 years ago. Doing a burnout....Locked up the rear end(broke the carrier, pin came out, went through the back cover and locked everything up), driveshaft hit the ground, th400 broke completely off the engine...... unfortunately mine wasn't even on camera, I was just having fun and cost myself about 4500$
You need another inch or two lift in the rear, when they were new they were up an inch or two so when you added a load they were level! Although it looks awesome now!
I retract my previous statement you should’ve got the 8 inch springs and got rid of the blocks completely. Then you need to just the 3° pinion wedge and some good 5/ 8 U bolts. 18:25 it’s still has worms.
19:12 vintage air ftw. I'm out of North port and I helped a friend put one in. Gotta say with the instructions (both skilled but newbies with that kind of install so better safe than sorry right?) easy would be an understatement. Idiot proof would be appt.. also one of the COLDEST ac systems I've ever felt. 10 outta 10. Go with vintage air

I had a friend in high school I don't know if the bellhousing bolts were looseBut when reception from 1st to 2nd.. the transmission bellhousing and all.spun underneath the vehicle and tore the gear shifter away
check the ABS module on the brakes, I had to delete mine!
Im sure you know, but new springs will sag. Especially if you ever have weight in the back. Definitely go high in the back from the start. Or put a heavy ass I beam for the front bumper to drop that down

If you guys are gonna put another 400 in it and should put another 400 in it I would for sure cut the bell housing off and put an Altra bell bell housing on it. Much thicker n stronger. N get a 8 bolt pump case to hold it on. But there known for breaking at the bell housing and causing that. Or get urself at minimum a heavy duty th475. They have a thicker bell housing.
Looked like the s10 10 bolt cross pin bolts broken. May wanna run some weld on that too- the head is there but the shank probably isn’t, the pin is hanging out the bottom

I put a set of kybs monomax fixed the death shake, stock tire size.... check tire balance and replace ball joints every 5k 😂

The rubber brake lines to the calipers could be bad on JH burnout truck. They swell inside and let pressure push through but not return

That transmission checked out and put up a "do not disturb" sign!!!! I don't think I've ever seen one THAT bad before. I think when it all happened I heard a YOLO!! from that trany......
I think now that the exhaust has to be redone, it’s a good opportunity to play around with how the exhaust blows the smoke. Love the side exits, but maybe you guys could put a little cup on the leading edge to blow it straight back down the side of the truck.

i think that drivshaft was happy or the bell houseing let go then the shaft seperated and beat the hell out of stuff, well new trans case, new shaft, and put some driveshaft cages in.

My ski boat has a direct drive borg warner 1.51:1 Velvet drive transmission, married to a 351 windsor... it's simply forward and reverse, no gears. (1991 Mastercraft ProStar 190)
Could this transmission not be mated to an engine in an automotive application? I'm thinking like a stock car, hydraulically shifted into forward or reverse... for a burn-out vehicle🤷♂

It's more than likely the brake hoses. Calipers will fix the problem temporarily.

It's prolly a master. I had a suburban that would apply the brakes by It's self. There was a dark tint of shit on the walls of the reservoir clogging the return holes. Most old Chevy trucks have it. If it acts up after the calipers again change the master.

I’m thinking that the drive shaft broke took a wild ride smacked that exhaust and wedged its self in various places and that’s how the trans exploded
