If you already have squadrons leveled, you can also send them out on missions for squadron battle manuals, which while they don't stack with the 10% free company buff, it is better by 5% and you can do it without a free company.
My recommendation for the squadrons would be to use Arcanist for any of the dps you bring with you, and to put all members of your squadron in offensive tactics except the tank, put the tank in independent. Putting them in aggressive tactics doesn't change the way their AI functions, all it does is increase their damage done. The reason I say to make the dps Arcanist is because the carbuncle is extremely broken and seems like it doesn't scale right while also doing insane aoe damage. The Arcanist themselves will also assist the healer with healing the tank if they get low, which is beneficial as the Arcanist themselves does next to no damage, it all comes from the carbuncle. If you're the tank or the healer and are using x2 Arcanist in your squadron, each pack of enemies will die in seconds without you having to do a thing. Using this method also makes 50-60 very efficient as well. While I was leveling Samurai, I was able to clear the level 57 dungeon in 12 minutes while not even attacking the enemies, all I was doing was coordinating my squadron to attack the right targets. Another thing worth noting is you can put the tank back in offensive tactics if you're feeling comfortable with the pulls or if you are the healer. Sometimes the AI healer doesn't spam heal enough so making the tank independent tactics increases his ability to live greatly while not giving up damage output. But in the end all of the damage in the group comes from the Arcanist carbuncles, so any tactics works fine as long as the Arcanists are using offensive.

Aurum Vale actually gives loads of exp especially if you clear all the mobs and let the Morbol seedlings sprout before killing them. Coin Counter can be tricky but there's a spot in the north where you can tank it where none of its attacks will hit the NPCs. If you're not tanking it, bring GC Tonics in case you need to revive someone. I find that Arcanist + Bard is the best combo. Arcanist's pet + placed AoE does insane damage and will often out-DPS the bard at max level with all points put into Offensive. I think the GC Squad system still works on the 2.x battle system (excluding TP), so they have some OP skills, and can often easily pull aggro off a tank.
There is a very easy way to get 1 to 50, if you are ranged or have a ranged attack, you just need to go to the Tempest, the lv79 maps, x28.0 y7.0, there is 2 types of monster -> Deep-sea Leech -> Clionid You take the aggro of the Deep-sea Leech (attack it, even if it miss you will get the aggro), and you feed it to the Clionid (it will instant kill it), you will get the exp from the Deep-sea leech which is about 6 to 8k depending on chain Profit !

I only seem to get about a quarter or less of an xp bar when I do the Adamantoise Tear leve when I'm between levels 10 and 14. Am I doing something wrong?
If you are starting to get your company squadrons this will take u some days since it take sometimes to lvup them but once u get it u can do it as many time u want.
Heyy i was doing this and there were two problems so far. 1) Adamontoise Tears only appeared in the levequet list 3 times for me, after that it wasnt available anymore. 3) While doing the above, when a FATE is right on top of the egg, if i switch to higher lvl job to kill the mobs, it says I cant coz my level is too high (It's 54), but the usual Level Sync button isnt there either. What should i do? Also everyone before this worked perfectly, thank you! Update: Hold on, found a way around the levequest disappearing! Idk if you have done this, but I'd love a video showing some of your custom visual choices. Loving the Yellow HP bar and the classic menus (Sprout here if it's not obv)
The squad don't do mechanics because they don't have the Echo. But, damn, Archer and Arcanist melt trash fast. In Aurum Vale, let the Molboro seeds germinate. The XP is huge! Like, 500 for the seeds to over 5000 once germinated.
Unfortunately these are the only two viable options in 60-70 range, you can do some fates/beast tribe quests while in a queue but unfortunately this step remains the most tedious and long of all level ranges
Hold on, in order to use these methods beyond the Adamantoise method, you need to have at least one character be lvl 50 and unlock Command Missions in your Grand Company. The former condition you can pay real money to bypass, but the latter requires at least a week, barest minimum estimate, of real world time to level your squadron enough to unlock the mission necessary to unlock Command Missions. Do squadron dungeons give an EXP boost compared to just doing them with other players? Because it seems like simply doing on-level dungeons through duty roulette would be faster, especially if you're leveling a tank or a healer
Well you only do a roulette once a day, never do it more than that. Second the big advantage is queue times. Even conservatively speaking, a 5 minute dungeon queue is almost half the time it takes to run one entire squadron dungeon.
I know it's an old video but how do you feel about the Duty Support vs. Adventure Squadrons? Is it worth it to keep using the Squadrons or use the new Duty Support feature?
First 5 mins of the video can be replaced by just doing hunt logs and fates till u can start doing dungeons, then weave those into also doing hunt logs and maybe fates
Oh dear...that might works if you don't get interrupted (kiddos, household ect.) I started playing yesterday afternoon for the first time (never played any final fantasy before) and it took me forever to get to level 10,i think i finished around midnight...only level 10!!! 🙈
Ez for me. I am a solo player. And the method I did was just doing the class quest, hunts and dungeons. Plus I just started playing a month ago. And I am already 80 on my main on Xbox. Just saying every one is different. I like the video 😊
If you're doing Aurum Vale either in the Command Missions, or with other players. Do yourself a favor and *don't* destroy the Morbol pods on the way to bosses. I've tested this, and you can easily tell the difference in experience when the seedlings hatch. They're not much stronger, so just AoE them down for fat gains-- as they give I believe more than double the XP of a pod gives. Meaning you can easily hit level 50 in just one or two runs depending on your boosts. Happy Leveling! ^.^

another question i have is: when i changed from ninja to mch i didnt feel like i had an XP bonus at all...i grinded the map metas and dungeons, then every 5 lvls did my class quests. how or where do i see if the bonus is applied??
Oh so this is largely for the influx of new players then. I have all jobs 80, and the best way to level alts is Bozja BY FAR especially if you have the earrings from collecting what is it 1000 actions ? It gives you a ridiculous EXP boost, on top of Zadnor offering yet more bonus EXP (and the medals making it even easier with jacked stats).
1 to 20 it seems the fastest way is to have a lvl 80 friend oneshot lvl 60ish mobs you tag without being in a party. Takes 10 to 15 min or so to get 20 like that.
Do you know that every time i pick up an egg a turtle spawns? I can't beat them with my level 10 character. I did it on a higher level character, then switched back to the level 10 and was able to turn in the quest-which I didn't expect. Thanks.
I'm a little late to this, but how are you even doing those levequests? From what I've played so far, NPCs will allow me to *start* a higher level quest, but if I'm not at the quest's level yet, I'll be blocked from turning it in. This has happened with side quests and levequests as well, so I'm confused as to how you're able to turn those turtle egg quests in.

Me, with all of jobs to 80 for the last 2 years: ah thank you
There is a very easy way to get 1 to 50, if you are ranged or have a ranged attack, you just need to go to the Tempest, the lv79 maps, x28.0 y7.0, there is 2 types of monster
-> Deep-sea Leech
-> Clionid
You take the aggro of the Deep-sea Leech (attack it, even if it miss you will get the aggro), and you feed it to the Clionid (it will instant kill it), you will get the exp from the Deep-sea leech which is about 6 to 8k depending on chain
Profit !
This is hilarious. Been trying to figure this out and it gets recommended to me
I didn't even understand half of this video. That's my first MMO and I'm lvl 16 with around 11hours playtime so far. And I encountered only some class quests, side quests and Fates as well as the main story i followed. Now I'm at this area where you can buy houses.
Either i spent around 8 hours to understand what you told in the video and actually find the things you talk about, or i try to get good at understanding the (to me) really alien controls.
I just do leve quests while waiting for dungeon roullettes. Those squadron dungeon runs are extremely annoying to deal with. For me anyways. And palace of dead and heaven on high are good exp resources.
How so lol? You can wall to wall with the squadron and clear it faster than with real people and risking having braindead sprouts slowing the run down, if you can't Speedrun command missions you're just bad
@@HenriqueRJchiki That's why he says "For me anyways" geez... its his preferred method. Nobody has to be like you bud.
@@HenriqueRJchiki well if you cant carry a few newbies in a level 50 dungeon then you are really bad.
@@mkoz1134 are you braindead? It's not about being able to carry, it's about clearing it FAST, the npc will dps optimally while noobs will mess their rotation and overheal all the time, making the dungeon a slug.
@@UltraObama If you've playing for days you definitely won't as I don't do leveling roulette anymore as I have e everything at 80. And good for you mate, enjoy having braindead tanks who'll take 2 hours to clear a Sastasha, we'll happily make fun of you on r/shitpostxiv
Great video, Hap. This is about to come in handy for me, as a returning player who had forgotten about the squad system.
Clearly grinding Eureka is the way to go for levelling. Right?
Can't do that from lvl 1..... lol
Wish eureka would give you xp for your real job
I'll probably try leveling a new job this weekend, so even if some of this info has become outdated site to changes that came with Endwalker, the video definitely had some useful strategies that I hadn't really thought of.
(I just hit Paladin 90 last week, and aside from the odd level here and there I literally haven't leveled another combat class/job since I switched from Marauder to Gladiator on... September 7, 2013.)
Doing levelling roulette as a tank or Healey is faster. Especially if you get the bonus for when either is needed.
If you want to que for a dungeon at lower levels on a second job always go roulette if you are below level 30. You still get bonus exp for completing it. But not as much.
Anyone has any idea if command missions are still solid way of leveling? Since now duty support is a thing.
The main scenario doesn't get me all the way through, I'm level 46 and I need to be 49 to start the next quest
I recommend doing some of the blue unlock quests while doing msq
High level squadron all with offensive 5 tactics, all ACN on the DPS front. It's like 7 levels an hour
For squadron dungeons DO NOT DO the Wanderer's Palace if you are NOT a healer! It has a doom effect and the healer bot just does not remove it... its a waste of your time. If you heal, u can do.
i spent $300 on a new acc buying essentials like stormblood skip, fenrir, etc. did NOT want to spend any more money for Dark Knight so for the first time i want to grind my gladiator to 50.. thanks for this
Woaaah this is EXACTLY what I was looking for! Thanks a lot, I'm gonna try this very soon :)
and here i am 200 hours in leveling every alt job to 50 with just roulettes and hunting and have yet to start Heavensward
I only seem to get about a quarter or less of an xp bar when I do the Adamantoise Tear leve when I'm between levels 10 and 14. Am I doing something wrong?
The exception to doing FATEs at low levels is blue mage. The FATE mobs grant far less xp than overworld mobs, don't do any in hopes of getting xp
Update:
Hold on, found a way around the levequest disappearing! I saw a comment here which said "f this happens simply switch to your higher character and do a Levequest so it updates, like you might have done for the first one" and it works! :)

Just started the game a week ago and unlocked summoner today. Might go back and level up BLM now since my level is so much higher than the MSQ
Can't wait for the 60-70 video! Most of my jobs are mid 60 and other than dungeon spam or HoH I don't know a fast way through.
Unfortunately these are the only two viable options in 60-70 range, you can do some fates/beast tribe quests while in a queue but unfortunately this step remains the most tedious and long of all level ranges
I wish they had a Bozja equivalent for this level range, leveling anything other than tank or healer is a pain
@@qaztim11 technically the have Eureka, if only they allowed us to lvl in there as well
@@goblinlootlord that would be a great way to make the content more relevant
dude im stuck there right now and its extremely painful. Heaven on high is awful exp once you hit 65
As a new player literally starting from Friday I’m up to 32 within 3hrs so thanks man
Jesus...
How did you pull that off if you 'just started playing this game last Friday?'
@@omegagilgamesh because I’m a capitalistic fuck who spends money to enjoy an experience that’s given to you for free and doesn’t have the time to fully enjoy things :)

Just started the game, I didn't know grinding out all of the classes to jobs was unusual, oh well there goes my week.
This will be great for the new sprouts all over Eorzea!
Not really unless it's for alt jobs
really good bro. this is awesome! thanks!
I just did Squadron achievement for the emotes and in the same moment i was like"hmmm I wanna level a Bard".
And this topic showed up on my feed,I mean come one,FATE.
Missed the og Mr happy character xD great video!
@@Mrhappy1227 and with squadrons you can pull every mob in the dungeon to get more battle exp comparatively
Leveling roulette give soooo much XP. I had around 150% XP bonus (without rested) and from one leveling roulette got from level 20 to 23.
The first part of video before squadrons, its your 2nd job, you'll have a flying mount for your lowbie areas.
I know it's an old video but how do you feel about the Duty Support vs. Adventure Squadrons? Is it worth it to keep using the Squadrons or use the new Duty Support feature?
Use duty support it's way more convenient you don't get xp from mobs but you will level very fast and no need to do commands
Do both support covers dungeons squadrons don't and vice versa.
You have a good voice, i subbed 🤙🤙
I love Squadrons. When I used them to level my first DPS class I was like 'Oh, ideal. Stupid babies, but ideal.'
I mean they work for Q times right? :P
@@Red-fg9qr yeah they do lmao. Means the worst part of my dps leveling party is getting to 20 so I can use em
First 5 mins of the video can be replaced by just doing hunt logs and fates till u can start doing dungeons, then weave those into also doing hunt logs and maybe fates
When heavensward was still fresh my personal best was getting jobs from 1 to 60 in exactly 6 days
Now we can get from 1 to 50 in less than 8 hours. Incredible
Oh dear...that might works if you don't get interrupted (kiddos, household ect.) I started playing yesterday afternoon for the first time (never played any final fantasy before) and it took me forever to get to level 10,i think i finished around midnight...only level 10!!! 🙈
Just wondering why Haukke Manor, Cutter's Cry and Sunken Temple of Qarn get skipped during this grind method? Any particular reasoning?
They aren't in the squadron system
What is your advice for squad setup. I’m using two arcanists a marauder tank
Arcanist is pretty OP at max offense level, but Arc + Bard is a really good combo that covers short burst damage + DoT.
Double arcanist is objectively the best.
Ez for me. I am a solo player. And the method I did was just doing the class quest, hunts and dungeons. Plus I just started playing a month ago. And I am already 80 on my main on Xbox. Just saying every one is different. I like the video 😊
Me who doesn't even have this game. Still watches because Mr.Happy content.
Does the second job XP boost work only for the second job, or does it apply to every job after the first?
Every single combat job below your highest level job
Necropost; Are squadrons still relevant after the Trusts were added in to all MSQ dungeons?
I did 3 Levequests then I didn't have the option anymore. Is there a chance they put a cap on it per day?
Nevermind - if this happens simply switch to your higher character and do a Levequest so it updates, like you might have done for the first one
@@coltonmugrage6493 Ohhh yesss, thanks a lot!
But how do i get acces to all this lvling gear/tools from the beginning?
Title is clickbait. Should be called: Leveling an **ALT** 1-50 in Under Eight Hours.
A first time playthrough takes around 16 hours from level 1 -- 56 speed running.
That "Adamantoise tears" disappeared for me after 5 runs 😩
ruclips.net/video/GRFUe0tGmHI/видео.html
@@Mrhappy1227 thanks man! Didn't realise that also worked to bring it back :)
another question i have is: when i changed from ninja to mch i didnt feel like i had an XP bonus at all...i grinded the map metas and dungeons, then every 5 lvls did my class quests. how or where do i see if the bonus is applied??
When you kill mobs, it will tell you the xp bonus percentage applied. The bonus for leveling a lower job ONLY applies to xp from combat and fates.
Would u recommend useing a healer for squadrons I'm lvling cnj/whm
Oh so this is largely for the influx of new players then.
I have all jobs 80, and the best way to level alts is Bozja BY FAR especially if you have the earrings from collecting what is it 1000 actions ? It gives you a ridiculous EXP boost, on top of Zadnor offering yet more bonus EXP (and the medals making it even easier with jacked stats).
The bozja earrings give a lower boost than the endwalker preorder earrings
@@V2ULTRAKill That doesn't sound right, pretty sure the Bozja earrings while in Zadnor give a tonne of XP.
1 to 20 it seems the fastest way is to have a lvl 80 friend oneshot lvl 60ish mobs you tag without being in a party. Takes 10 to 15 min or so to get 20 like that.
Yes but you need a friend to do that.
@@HenriqueRJchiki and you need to not miss....or get oneshot...
Do you know that every time i pick up an egg a turtle spawns? I can't beat them with my level 10 character. I did it on a higher level character, then switched back to the level 10 and was able to turn in the quest-which I didn't expect. Thanks.
I really appreciate that it's basically a level 1-50 solo guide
Squadrons is usually my go to
I'm a little late to this, but how are you even doing those levequests? From what I've played so far, NPCs will allow me to *start* a higher level quest, but if I'm not at the quest's level yet, I'll be blocked from turning it in. This has happened with side quests and levequests as well, so I'm confused as to how you're able to turn those turtle egg quests in.
Oh? I didnt have that problem.. Perhaps try switching between jobs here and there?
Maybe a little late to this, but I've been leveling a MRD/WAR and I cannot tell you how bad the AI on the healers is. Sometimes they just stand there and do nothing. It's pretty awful. I hope they fix this.
Love the video! Helps me get some of my jobs to 50 at least while on the free trial, I'll likely save most of the jobs until I can get a retainer as between crafting and alt job gear I'm running out of inventory space fast! But I wonder will there be one for 50 onwards?
Are squadron missions worth it for tanks and healers?
running a squadron with yourself as healer can be tricky, cause some of the boss mechanics won't target them, and can do huge damage to squishier classes. it's definitely doable tho, at least for some of the squadron dungeons. i did a lot of brayflox and stone vigil on whm cause i was stressing about having to heal in a pickup group
