    You can also do the Terminator 2 effect, create cilinder and make it array, then set as brush and the character as canvas waves and move the character to the bars

    Could it be used for something like having a character sit on a bed? Since there would be some deformation from a body's weight.

      Yes definitely. You would have to expiriment with the settings but this is definitely possible!

    13:23 how did you move it whileit was playing!?

    • @KennyPhases
      @KennyPhases  Год назад

      So what you do is play the timeline, and then when having the object selected, you simply press G while it's playing to move it freely in space! G is the shortcut to move!

    I want to paint an object on, like make it appear wherever it is painted. I thought it could be done by using the alpha channel, but the object never disappears completely. It still shows up, casts shadow. I want it to be invisible wherever it is not painted. Thanks!

    • @KennyPhases
      @KennyPhases  Месяц назад

      I actually cover this in my Blender Course coming out soon! It's a different type of canvas, called "paint"!

    • @DonaldDrennan
      @DonaldDrennan Месяц назад +1

      @@KennyPhases Thanks for the reply. Yes, I had it set up correctly, but since my object was double sided, using the solidify modifier on the plane, it was still effecting the light rays casting a shadow. I deleted the solidify modifier and just added a side piece to indicate it was a thick plane. It's all fixed now.

    Where can I get the 3d model of the hand? Great tutorial

  • @Mr_Kisch
    @Mr_Kisch Год назад +1

    Could I please ask you to try something I have been struggling with? I have looked everywhere but can't seem to find out how to do this.
    I want to take a plane and turn it into a cloth sim so that it is like paper then I want to take that plane (a piece of paper) and dip it into a canvas like how your hand goes into the canvas. The only issue is that it is not working correctly and I am not sure why I have tried a lot and looked online but can't seem to find an answer.
    Even if I add a plane and then try to set it as a brush it has no effect on the canvas I think this is because of the fact that it would be set to mesh Volume so I tried setting it to proximity which didn't help either. How do we make something affect the canvas when it has no volume.

    • @KennyPhases
      @KennyPhases  Год назад +1

      You may need to add a solidify modifier and APPLY it to give the mesh some slight thickness so it actually has usable geometry. Feel free to DM me on Instagram so I can further help you out!

    • @Mr_Kisch
      @Mr_Kisch Год назад +1

      @@KennyPhases Alright I will try that and get back to you thank you for the advice. I think I did try the solidify and that didn't work I also tried extruding the plane to give it thickness but that didn't seem to work even when applying scale.

    can someone please help me i did everything in the video but when i try to move the sphere it just selects around it, the mouse icon doesn’t even change like it did in the video and the sphere doesn’t move. When i search how to move objects with my mouse i get options about the 3d cursor and the cursor is not the issue. This is stressing me out cause when i try to move the sphere it won’t move, the only way it can move is if i press g and when i do that the sphere goes through the mesh it doesn’t work

    • @KennyPhases
      @KennyPhases  Год назад

      Please message me on instagram and send me a screenshot of the issue you are facing so I can try to help! "g" is typically used to move an object, but in order to see the effect, you must also PLAY on the timeline so you can see the sphere interacting with the plane.

    Geo nodes came in & most creators balls fell off. They all abandoned or forgot about all these great features that Blender has.
    Keep on doing what you're doing, it's great material. 👍🏼🦘🐨
