- Sony recently held their State of Play for 2024 and I have to say, this was the most underwhelming State of Play I have ever seen over the years, except for the new Astro Bot Game reveal which was an absolute blast!

Honestly liked the Silent Hill presentation. That's it.
Astro Bot is finally let go from the VR and gimmick shackles and on the elite platformer level of Mario, Sonic and Crash. The Playroom was epic and still one of the best games on the PS5.
Garbage, only things worth to note is monster hunter wilds and silent hill 2. Who at sony though anybody would give a shit about two overwatch knockoffs?
Calling it,Concord about to be PS5’s Redfall.
I don't think it's going to be buggy but rather extremely shallow and boring, basically just another overwatch, same thing goes for marvel rivals.

I saw the CGI Trailer first and it looked promising… until I discovered it was another live-service game

Saw the first trailer, then at the beginning of this new trailer thought "omg amazing new Guardians Action RPG?", but its a arena hero shooter, how makes these dumb decisions? This looks insanely high quality and they promise "multiple coming cinematics each season", what a waste of money
@@NikTek they could've take GoG concept and make it as a proper RPG singleplayer game in open world solar system. Or a bounty hunting roguelike with planet generation. But instead they made D2/OW clone. Bruh.
@@NikTek Whenever I see a CGI trailer, I think, "oh, the devs probably think the gameplay itself is too boring to show." The less gameplay I see compared to CGI trailers, the more I know it's going to be a shitshow and boring.

If they didn't keep making one single AAA release every 1-2years they could just have hired inde devs to make games for them, and sped up their library of games but no, they need their precious live service games to succeed so they can earn their money back from the Hell Divers 2 fiasco. Concord is gonna fail hard because its not your average original idea. Foam star failed because it was your average splatoon rip off that very few played. Concord is basically overwatch/tf2 again! just like marvel rivals. The arena shooter is basically a dying genre. No one has good ideas to pitch anymore.

God of War Ragnarok will require a PSN account. Yes, PSN account required for an offline single player game. Sony will be enforcing this moving forward.

@@jacksoncabrera7236 True. I grew up on Xbox but have never been a stingy die hard fan that gets offended when someone says the console I play on is trash. I mostly played games that people would usually play on their PC, maybe like 1 Xbox exclusive and that’s it. PCs were just more complicated to me when I was younger, I couldn’t afford it, and I didn’t think I needed one. But when I got older, I realized that I would be able to play so much better competitively with a higher FPS and lower input delay, and that I would be able to do so many more other things (some things that aren’t even related to gaming) on a PC. So then I eventually got a really good gaming laptop as a PC.
Where Winds Meet, Monster Hunter Wilds, Ballad of Antara. The only good ones all the other are Meh.
The fact that the most hyped game there is a third party game shows. Monster hunter's trailer exploded in japan since its as big if not bigger then pokemon there

I think state of play was okay the expectations here are too much.
Wait for the developers to cook then get a half baked/incomplete games.
And out of the expected 14 games 10 were out of questions to show anything only GTA 6, Astro Bot, Spiderman 2 DLC could be expected
Naughty dog had people fired recently so certainly nothing from them even if they have new IP in development as it might scraped
MHWild is something i don't expect showing up on State of Play, would like to count it but it's not like it's exclusive to PS
You missed out on Monster Hunter Wilds, although what was shown was not really anything we didn't know from before

No, not by a long margin, Sony is greedy and scummy but not to the extent of ubisoft they have good potential they just don't want to use it. And I understand hate towards sony for the Helldivers situation but two important things need to be addressed. First Helldivers was never popular to begin with and I guarantee you that nobody expected Helldivers 2 to be this popular as a result Sony's natural instinct for greed kicked in forcing everyone to acquire ps accounts. And secondly this is Sony's first real dive into the pc side of things so it makes sense that a money greedy corporation like Sony would not understand how this side of the gaming industry operates to begin with. Compared to ubisoft actively killing all there franchises and ip's, pissing off everybody and not backing down adding subscription after subscription to their full priced games micro transactions included, ubisoft is a far greater villain than sony could ever dream to be.

- Gamepass

As for me, the SoP was just alright; although I think it's safe to say that Concord single handedly dragged down the entire event

Yeah i enjoyed 3 games which were the God Of War ragnarök PC port, Silent hill 2 remake and Astro bot but besides that it was the typical AAA slop.

Astro Bot was the only one here that caught my attention pretty well eventhough Im not a Kid anymore. Its like a Crash Bandicoot of the 90s times era. But still, playstation is having a lacklustre of released games nowadays. Too many remasters of remasters and remakes and Cinematic Games... of course Like the Generic Overwatch rip.off games again

i watch videos about games made by big companies, but, i dont like them, i prefer to play ren'py adult games all the day, or terraria, or, indie games, but, i feel that the games made by companies are boring or very closed in their content so idk, i just dont like them, but, i watch videos about them because yess... :3
