    Hey very informative on all your videos. Btw what is the center of gravity on the impulse measuring from the stern, I’m trying to figure it out whether I measure from the stern upper or lower and how many inches. Thanks

      @mad_lizard  Год назад

      30% is a good starting point measured from the back of the boat forward. It’s about 9.5 inches.
      Measure from the upper part of the hull.

    Whats the stock props size and can i use a octura x450? Or its gonna blow the motor ?

    • @mad_lizard
      @mad_lizard  Месяц назад +1

      @@cyberlife514 x450 is way to big of a prop. The stock prop size I believe is 4215 prop. X450 is a 50 mm diameter prop. It’s too big for the boat.
      You would want to try a Octura x445 or a Abc 1717-45-17 prop

      @@mad_lizard thanks alot. And how about for cavitation?? What should i do if i wNna use the stock props ?

    • @mad_lizard
      @mad_lizard  Месяц назад +1

      @@cyberlife514 the ABC 1717 will cavitate upon takeoff, but once on plane it will be fast. Should be a 70 mph prop.
      X445 will have no cavitation grate for takeoff as fast as 1717, but it should get you in the 60s

    Hello,
    I have a tfl PURSUIT with a tp4050 1500kv (run it in 9s) and a swordfish 240 ESC.
    I run it with a octura x447. Any advise for me ? Witch kind of propeller Can i test in priority ? I want a descent runtime but of course with a good speed....
    Thx !

      With your set up now. What are your numbers for speed, temp of the system and run times.

    • @TheonlyShinji
      @TheonlyShinji 3 года назад

      @@mad_lizard i need more tests but quite easy 110kmh+ (gps). Temps are ok, about 50. Runtime is about 8-9 minutes with 9s 5000mah. But i did only few tries. I will test adjustements thanks to your vidéos 👍👍

      @@TheonlyShinji those are great numbers. Depending on your goals. Faster may reduce run time you can try out ABC props. Drop down diameter and increase pitch or try some rake props. 1816-17-45. Experiment with different propellers and have fun to improve your boat.

      @@mad_lizard ok ok, thx!
      I have a propeller i love : a 4516 from doctorprops. With it i hit a lovely 135kmh with my Veles29 (tp4040 2100kv in 6s). Cant wait to put it on the PURSUIT 😁
      So im lucky with my PURSUIT... Good. I have a question. Is it better to have the stinger at 0 angle and trim tabs down (a little) or the opposite ? And what about the lipos ? How Can i be sur that their positions are good ? I dont have a lot of place so adjustements of lipos in fact... 😅

    • @mad_lizard
      @mad_lizard  3 года назад

      Normally I’ll run the stinger down -.5 to -1 degrees and trim tabs same plane as hull. See some of the videos I have posted for a reference. Now depending with water conditions will required more or less on the trim tabs down or up. The more the trim tabs are down the more drag the hull will have. Down angle on the stinger then the tabs till the boat drives how you like it and to the water conditions. Batteries you can move forward or back to add weight forward more or not. Check out the video of COG I made should help you out.

    Can you make a video on how to remove and replace the impulse 32 motor coupler please.

    • @mad_lizard
      @mad_lizard  3 года назад +1

      Yes can do so and post later in the day.
      The motor has to completely come out of the boat to replace the motor coupler for the shaft.
