    Looked like a great trip,,very interesting too. Never saw an opal operation before. Looks very similar to gold or silver in this country. Opals in the U.S. are in southern Oregon and Nevada. Crawdads as we call yabbys are prime eating. Take care Luke

    Commer / commercial was from the UK, it was later taken over by the rootes group ( Humber) might remember the Hillman minx etc, later the name Commer was dropped when Chrysler took over and ultimately became Dodge

      I knew they were from the UK, I didn’t know the rest of the history of them though. Pretty cool.

    In the old days your group would had been underground with a kerosene lamp. Now, lighting is by mobile phone! Classic.
    The best time to hunt in mullock heaps is when sunny and using a water bottle to bring out the colours. 👍🏻🙏🦘
