Stumbled upon Jamie’s tank some time back and followed his channel right away on RUclips. Tell Jamie that channel needs an update badly! Thanks! Beautiful!
Keep it simple no fancy gear and patience is crucial for anyones tank. I love your videos, I've been watching all of them, you guys are just amazing at what you do! Cheers guys!
I’ve been doing this type of NSW water change schedule in my little 120L never thought of it for a huge tank. Makes keeping a Reef a lot more simple than people think. We live near the sea, let’s use the water!! Thanks for the videos guys. Really enjoy them.
A superb series. The placement of the orange sun corals next to the wave makers is brilliant. Great water movement there with food particles being pulled around the entire coral(s). I'm going to move a few of mine and glue them to some Tunze osmolator magnets and place them next to my wave makers Keep up the great work! Really learning a lot, thank you. This is my favorite tank, so far. Cheers.
I’ve always had a hard time understanding reluctance to do water changes - it truly is the best way to reset the tank imo. This tank proves it works over the long term - it is so rare to see a tank with mature colonies like this and how wonderful to know what’s down the road if we take care and nurture what we have. I loved seeing that huge green pocillopora - I have one that’s softball-sized now and was wondering the other day what it might look like as it matures....Great video! 👍🏻👍🏻
Beautiful tank. That is a lot of water to change at once. You would think exposing there corals and live rock to air would have bad effects but is just the opposite.Btw the rest of the house looked beautiful and looked too good to have that skimmer in it lol.
I’ve watched a lot of RUclips videos on saltwater tanks/ systems, but this tank is amazing to look at, and the size + colour of the corals are just spectacular, and as you say, run on a basic system, just a treat to watch. 👍
Beyond stunning. Love pop of the colors, specifically the greens on the colors. To bad my budget at this point will not allow the purchase of radions. So i have 2 Ai hd primes which i will mount over my 6ft 100 gall low shallow system.Near future i will invest in the Ai hydro 36 for the middle. Owner is doing a great job and with your maintenance schedule. 👍👍
Another superb video and a beautiful tank, I love it very much! I agree with you: waterchanges make a huge difference. I am highly skeptical about methods without waterchanges, like the Triton-method... Keep on the good work! Excellent presentation.
Beautiful tank! I'm thinking you probably don't need that large of water changes! With so few fish in the tank I can't imagine much in the way of nutrients! Maybe try some Vibrant or Benepets, I think either would save money and better yet the work! Looking at the tank it's very obvious you know what your doing! Just a little suggestion that's all, great work!
Given the fact we’re so close to a clean source of natural seawater it works out very cost effective to waterchange for nutrient dilution and chemical stability. We have clients using a variety of nutrient reduction systems and it just happens that this client chooses large water changes for this purpose. Thanks for watching😊 Cam
Beautiful tank in terms of corals for sure...they need to add more fishes for the movement would be nice to see a school of Anthias...or 4-5 yellow tangs
Did you say how much wattage lights the aquarium? I'm all for people who have mega reefs, who spend what it takes. I'm just glad I broke the addiction. I still admire a great tank,I understand it. The new LED lights put away the Metal Halide and Sodium pressure lights..and 1,000 watts for a good reef easy. But I don't miss water changes, salt creep and worry about power loss. Although if 12 years ago they had the new lights...lol.
Rich S 90 percent is a fairly unique regime, thankfully the pumps we use drain and fill at an incredibly fast rate. We have always used natural seawater for Jaime’s tank. We are extremely fortunate to have access to high quality NSW at a site only a few hours drive away. We collect one hour before high tide, and never 24 hours after a rainfall event.
@@GalleryAquaticaTV Hi :) , could this be also possible with artificial salt water , or are there some risks to it ( other than the cost of the salt ) :) ?
I used to do big water changes like this, and it's successful. U can do it for around $30 a week on a big system like this. But u need to make sure the collected water is super super clean. I did it for years and had a bad batch, it bombed my tank with insane algae, I made it worse by changing the water with more lol I mixed up a big batch of my own and fixed the issue, zero 04 or 03 so it must have been silicate or something.
Natural saltwater isn’t too expensive in our part of the world. It’s not as expensive as you’d expect, especially because the client does the algae and other jobs himself. Cam

I’ll pass it on, but I think it’s more likely you’ll see his updates on this channel. Reef builders did a video on his tank a few years ago too. Cam
Cam,
what a beautiful tank. It looks so serene and peaceful. Something for us newbies to aim for. Thank you so much.

Beautiful tank...the corals are so vivid. Great video, keep them coming
Liking your vibe guys, keep those videos coming, really enjoying it!
Cheers Neil, thanks for watching! Cam

My favorite new aquarium series. Awesome work.
Beautiful tank. If it isn’t broken don’t fix it!😁. Love the simplicity.
Manual dosing. See kids it still can be done with a prehistoric method. You don't have to spend $5,000 worth of expensive equipment.

U guys make awesome videos
Man I live that bonsai looking coral
Very nice video mate
..
Beautiful reef. Needs some Anthias :)
Yep, I totally agree. It used to have Dispars and they looked incredible. Cam
Fairly new to your channel, love the tanks you take care of, especially Jamie's.
Wow! what a beautiful tank Ken!! 😀👍
Thanks mate. Jaime has added more fish lately too so it’s even better. Ken
Très très belle aquarium recifal 👏👏👏🤙🤙🤙
THIS! Wow! And what an impressive house! I saw this setup on ReefBuilders as well, how awesome 👏
We’ve just added a heap of fish, so the next video will be even better! Cam
As always Cam, brilliant job on the video and stunning tank.
Well done
The colonies are incredible in this tank and that blue tang is massiiivveeeeeee
Some of those colonies have been in that tank over 10 years! Cam
@@GalleryAquaticaTV truly incredible.Hats off to you guys for maintaining it so well :)
Really enjoying all your videos.
Rod Webb Thanks for watching Rod😊 Cam
Great video mate! Quality of your videos are continually improving! Keep it up!! As mentioned earlier, favorite Reefer channel on the interwebs!
I too have used the stick! It's a life saver. All those awesome leds :)
Beautiful tank!! Surprised by the trickle filter but If all is great, I wouldn’t change a thing. 😊👍🏽

Beautiful tank and another great video. I love this series!
Awesome job, keep them coming!
Beautifully scaped, definitely an inspiration and something to aspire to.

Loving this series... Well done!
Gr8 videos :) keep them coming.

Funny that, about 2 years ago there was a huge school of Dispar Anthias that looked incredible. They slowly died off and haven’t been replaced. Cam
love your videos!
Killer tank! Loving the vids 👍
Nice one Guys!
Wow!

Wow and NSW in my dreams . The sea is 500 yards away from me but I'd be scared to use the water out of the Liverpool bay 😂
How interesting! Question: How did you conclude that a 3-weeks water-change was the mark? Why not 4 or 2 or 8 weeks??
Good question. Over the years we just came to the conclusion that every 3 weeks is the best balance between cost and effect. Cam
What is the name of the purple and green pocillopora?
Where does that water come from as you do a 95% water change?
We pump natural seawater from an IBC that we tow on a trailer. We show exactly how we do this in the video “Acro Dream Tank”. Cam
90 percent water change is pretty crazy...what kind of salt do you guys use?
Rich S 90 percent is a fairly unique regime, thankfully the pumps we use drain and fill at an incredibly fast rate. We have always used natural seawater for Jaime’s tank. :D nice cAm i like u :D
Pristine. Money will buy you that if you got a paid crew to do it for you. Beautiful.
Or you can just spend your money and do it yourself and not be lazy. That works too.
😀👍👍
👏👏👏👏👏
Thanks mate😊

Beautiful beautiful beautiful beautiful
Wait for the next update on this one, he’s added heaps of fish so it’s looking even better😊

The small model is the mp 40. Ok then.
I should say “smaller”... Cam
