Hi! I'm new to gardening and my winter crops are done now 😅 I'm trying to figure out what to plant now mid spring. If anyone has any suggestions on what to sow mid spring and what grows well in the australian heat I'd be super grateful! Feeling a bit lost with what to plant. X

Our bananas took about 2 years but they seemed to flower after a lot of rain

Thanks for the video. The birds on your mulberry tree are figbirds. There's a weed called black nightshade which will lure the pest ladybeetles away from your potato plants. Has berries you can make jam or wine from too.

Oh thanks, someone had mentioned figbirds. I think I know the weed you’re talking about too, I haven’t seen that here in years. I’ve only seen one bad one this year so far so I am not concerned yet.

I just spent the day fermenting garlic. It’s an excellent way to preserve it.

would be good to know how to plant the vegies out ie: where what happens as they grow. in space ... I have just put in watermelon and rockmelon and not sure what the space is needed.. and now have a lot of pumpkin plants coming up in the compost heaps

Those ones definitely sprawl, which is why I haven’t decided on final watermelon location. I try to do a blog every month so you can check out progress.
