@ThirteenthMuse - The original soundtrack WAS the slick studio recording. After going through the lower quality TV process, it loses clarity. I just brought the sound quality back up to what it was in the source material. This presentation of this video was from the TV show VH-1 Visions.
Funny video, although too bad the first minute or two of the skit is missing from the full version as it was recorded on the video album "Vocalese" released in 1985. A funny tribute to both Count Basie, who had recently passed away, and "I Love Lucy".
Bleep Blop Blues--one of Basie's most kick ass arrangements!
I've looked for this video for years. I'm so glad I found it again! This album was just so excellent.
Wow! Thanks for going to all that trouble to bring us fans such a wonderful video.
I adore this video. They went through a lot of work to get the original pieces for this number. VERY well done!! ♥
Didn’t know this video existed. Outstanding! 👍👍
I haven't seen this in ages! I'm so happy to have found it, and so happy that you've shared it, TbirdsOf1965! Thank you!
:D
What a great performance! Cheryl is a scream.
dog3579 Yes she is I Love Her
You'd never guess how I got here! But COOL

Somewhere, A.K. Salim is in shock - How could he have foreseen this when he arranged the tune in 1949?
!Ay caramba Dios mio.....caro esta lloviendo"
