Im planning on FINALLY getting a VB here soon, after years of wanting one. Uhhh idk what else im just excited to be making a bad financial decison.
I honestly don't think there's a bad game on VB. Just mediocre or good ones. If you plan on getting a VB, I recommend getting a flash cart (HyperFlash32) so you can check out the whole library without shoveling out over a thousand dollars.
I've been saying for years that Teleroboxer is the greatest boxing game ever made that didn't have Mike Tyson's name attached to it. The use of two d-pads is brilliant.
A pretty reliable strategy I found for, frankly, the whole game was that you can counter a hook coming at you from the left by timing a right uppercut (same idea for a hook on the right with a left uppercut). You can bait most of the boxers to throw hooks at you by holding up just one of your arms.
The demo play for Dorihey (leave the game alone on the title screen) gives a big hint: when he does the drill attack, you can duck during it and time a machine gun uppercut at the end.
i love this game's art style and aside from the fact that the balancing is kind of shit, it seems like a really charming game. also i feel like a horror game in the virtual boy style would go hard

This game reminds me of a game called fight knight with its boxing style of combat and floating fists. I love that game, so I'll have to check this one out aswell!
