Correct! To me, the whole broadcast is suspicious, especially when they sing in unison from thousands of miles away. HF radio does not work that way - there would have been time lags over those great distances.

Then you hear this radio broadcast, knowing its fake and pretending that the situation is actually okay in Stalingrad..
