    Ties are to attach power cord around swing arm keeping it out your workspace😉

  • @alexdeleon7135
    @alexdeleon7135 2 года назад +2

    The zip ties are to secure the power cable to the boom arm, and straight stand. That way the cable isn't dangling haphazardly over your work. Video is well done!

    Thank you for this video on this arm i love your enthusiasm and helpful it is when you do the reviews as beginners we dont want to be putting our money into items that really dont work very well and maybe not really needed but this i never thought of the arm but its totally a great tool to have off the desk thank you

    Always helpful to have an extra "hand" and a clearer table / desk when glassing, what a cool idea! Happy Friday everyone x

    Ok this is awesome...also technically vent fans should be above you, so this is great for that reason too. As a bead maker we use incense to see where and how fumes are moving.

      Great idea about the incense.

    I love your enthusiasm! I don't think it will work with my desk as it has a back panel, plus it's against a wall. But it looks a great piece of kit. Love all your videos!✌️

      @@MakenzieHallie maybe rotate the smoke eater 180 degrees and it might be flatter. Looks like the top is shorter that the bottom maybe?

    • @MakenzieHallie
      @MakenzieHallie  3 года назад +2

      Hmm. I'm not sure what you mean? Like to just get the actual smoke absorber perfectly horizontal? If so, YES, totally thought the same thing. let me try it right now.

    • @MakenzieHallie
      @MakenzieHallie  3 года назад +2

      I can face it perfectly flat going up, so if i just spin the top pole it works!!

      @@MakenzieHallie I was thinking put the top of the unit towards the u shape clamp. Looks like you had the bottom towards the u shape clamp? Didnt know if there was a difference in the top to mount holes vs bottom to mount holes

    I need help. Pieces I’ve made months ago are ok, pieces I’ve made within the last two months, some are getting that white nasty crust? I always scrub the pieces in soapy water with a nail brush. Any ideas? I don’t use patina.

      Have you changed your solder? Some mixes stay shinier longer eg those with more tin. Just a thought

    • @MakenzieHallie
      @MakenzieHallie  3 года назад

      Could be anything! Changes in water hardness, changes in solder, humidity, flux residue, etc. It's just "white mold", overall not particularly controllable or worrisome. Can be washed away easily as often as needed. 🖤
