man, I hate my language barrier, and the way it stops me from writing everything I want to write, but I'll to be clear and fast:
1. okay I don't know who you are and I can't be 100% sure about this, but-- if you ship Varian with someone (who isn't your oc!!or vex) than I suppose, this is illegal to? even varrisandra, yeah. as I was saying, I don't know if you ship them, but I can't understand the fact that fandom adores varissandra, but hates varipunzel.
2. now let's get to the main part. shipping. is. fun. this is not something serious, even if it looks like it. when you ship something - all you want to do, is have a good time. I just-- I don't know, i--i never think, if my otp is gay/lesbian ship, or a pedophilia, or an incest, or--um, I'm out of ideas, maybe some different kind of stuff..because it doesn't matter. shipping can be different, but it's not just two or more characters having sex or worse, this is so much more,
3. and I'm talking about that I usually ship the characters, that can teach each other something, they can give something to each other, and be able to create something new with their chemistry.
I think shipping doesn't always has to be romantic. this is just the relationship. and Rapunzel's and Varian's conflict - is the one what story is about. they made their mistakes, they hurt each other, the consequences were terrible to their families and the whole kingdom. that's why varipunzel is a strong, conflicted and complexed, built on a negative emotions from each others sides. and fixing it is interesting and hard. I can spend hours deep in thoughts about what should they say, or what should they do to solve their problem.
4. that's the thing. varipunzel is dark, complicated, angsty, and that's what makes it perfect for me. this ship. makes me think. I can't just imagine their healthy relationship, I can't make them a pair, I have to work hard for it, to find the right way for them to fix what they done to each other. and this is beautiful.

Well this is... interesting to say the least. I am honestly not entirely sure how to feel about this, but that's not bad? I guess I'm just having trouble imagining the characters in a high-school setting is all xD
The song is hard to put into context for this series and subsequently the AMV feels a little all over the place (like it starts consistently with Varian and Raps and then it kind of swaps to Quirin out of nowhere for that last half, because that's the context the show dictates). The terrorism aspect works really well for Varian's character arc and I do like the editing, it's actually very much like something that I would have done myself, and while it's great that the Voice Actors fit and everything it's just... that the concept and the abstraction that comes with it might be a bit too much for me to properly enjoy without scratching my head at it feeling slightly odd.
I give you kudos by the way for going above and beyond with mixing actually hand-made storyboard elements into this! I just feel like the transition from the dialogue between Varian and Raps comes off a slightly jarring by suddenly switching to Quirin, and yet if you know the series at all you still come to expect it, there's not really another choice that you ARE left to deal with, that's just something that comes with the very feat of adapting a project with this kind of complexity.
Even though parts of it feel slightly forced, due to the strange 'High-school setting' and the like, I think that for what you did, you did it well and most certainly pulled the most from this kind of song that would have been feasible for an AMV :)
