DAOKO has a voice that familiarizes itself to the song’s theme so it could bring life to us listeners. Kenshi Yonezu does the same, but sort of a manipulative in a way that it shapes the music to his styles. there’s many more variations to be named, but i’ll let your imagination lead you to them. btw, listen to Kimi Ga Emu Yuugure if you ever get the chance ❤️

I know almost every popular japanese singers, but she is for me the best. I feel sad that she's not that popular like Lisa and any others. Her voice is godlike, i like her both white and black sides. And yea, it's her best underrated song.
Her voice, whether back then or in the present, is not sharp nor heavy like others. It's comfortable to a foreign ear like me who does not understand the language and only relies on hearing sense. I am quite picky in this aspect . Secondly, the music by her partner, Toku-P, is also a great contributing. The two work well together.
