Maybe i'm the minority but i like "smaller" wheels on thick rubber on this type of cars, looks so "racing" and normally improve comfort and grip!

Seeing as you daily drive this car no matter the conditions and you mentioning you’re ceramic coated your car, have you also gone the extra mile to protect the paint and have PPF installed?
No ppf for me. Not worth it. A car will always have imperfections. I embrace them!

Awesome channel tommy. I'm also from NJ but northern jersey by NYC. I used to have a dedicated winter wheel/tire package but decided to be extra dangerous and i'm rocking all seasons for this winter lol. My car is a lease and i return it next summer so i figure keep the all seasons for this last winter before i give it back lol.
Also in my opinion, i would keep a black wheel setup. My friend had an M3, with darker bronze wheels, not gold. And it didn't look right. At least to me. He liked it, but only for a couple of months. Then he went back to black wheels.

I ordered a set of Pirelli WInter Sottozero 3 run flats for my 340i M Sport. 225/40-19 front and 255/35-19 rear. Not many options for all season or winter run flats at 19". Great vid. Nice car. Cute kid. You are blessed.

@@TommyLGarage BMW officially offers them as an option through dealers, but at almost 45% markup per tire. I got mine at Tirerack and still get the same $70 dollar rebate from Pirelli.

It’s actually better to have a slimmer set up like you have for winter driving. It’ll cut through the snow better. So the stretch is to your benefit. 🙏🏾

Tommy, how do you drive with front splitters? Mine got damaged only 2 days with only eibach springs lowering.
I’m careful and the front splitter is non carbon fiber.
I like both sets of wheels, probably because I like black and darker colored rims.
Would you powder coat your summer set black?

The dust boots are there. I kept them on when I did the swap
@@TommyLGarage yep I see the boots in the video, but it appears they "fell" down a little? I thought that the top part of the boot was supposed to be sandwiched between the spring and top hat. Right now it looks like the strut is exposed to the elements.

Technically you should do the alignment but I don’t bother.

Hi nice video. I’m getting a separate winter wheels setup like you’re. I need to add the TPMS sensors….. do bmw’s automatically configure to understanding the sensors or do I need to get it reprogrammed by a dealer every time I swap wheels?

When I put weights on my wheels theres a setting to balance them and hide the weights behind the spokes ask if ur shop has the same machine

I crashed my M4 in January because I had summer tires and DSC off, I think though if you have DSC on you can get away with summer tires on a clear day in winter... I'm still wondering if I'm going to get winter tires on my M3, I definitely won't be driving in the snow though.
Braking is compromised too. I would not risk it
With snow tires you need a little wheel spin to get going sometimes, especially on a hill. MDM mode or traction control fully off is more appropriate.
The 513s are dope, but man, the 437s are some of my favorite wheels BMW has made yet

Not sure if this has been mentioned yet, but my vote goes to Richland forged GT4 reps in brushed clear. Just can’t beat them for the price. Also, they did reach out to me and say if I’m serious, they’d consider an 18 inch version. Which would have been awesome if I didn’t decide to put my car on the market. But you’ll be able to get 11 inch rears for your 305 tires. And they look so good.
Richland Forged wheels have issues. I was part of their prototype run and the wheels are not truly straight

This is going to sound overly critical, but why are you NOT keeping both hands on the wheel when your intentionally doing powerslides (left hand on steering wheel and your right hand on the shifter), but when you’re going straight and steady, you keep both hands on the wheel? Not only is this a very bad habit of yours, but it’s also a very un-proper driving technique and makes no sense at all.
