I kinda wished the sauropods could kinda fight back like dip and nigersaurus could be fan favorites as the suaropods who could defend them selves maybe a tail whip or something.
agreed. I was thinking like there would be a chance that when any large carnivore is chasing it down the diplo will use its tail to hit the allo (or any other large carnivore) and then the allo would fall and taking a bit of damage from it.
@@animadian i highly doubt it will just take a bit of damage from a whiplash from a massive tail like that 😜 it would most likely cause quite a few bone fractures if it scores a good hit on the Allo
I hope that in a future update they make sauropods able to defend themselves. A diplo is a high risk animal for the allosaurus to attack bc of its size and that whip like tail. And dinosaurs like the brachi in the Jurassic franchise can rear up on their hind legs to scare or stomp carnivores
This is definitely one of the saddest videos I've ever watched, but I still loved it! Another great documentary, and gives me The Ballad of Big Al vibes as well. I have a question that I would like you if possible please.. would you ever consider giving these Documentaries a narration version like with Walking with Dinosaurs?
On one hand, I agree with everyone else that sauropods should fight back at least a little. On the other, I’m very happy they finally made my boi allosaurus the sauropod hunter he deserves to be.
My thoughts exactly! The kind of the Jurassic needed some love though it still isn't a group hunter yet... but at least he can now get his favorite meal: Diplodocus steak!
So, what I'm assuming happened, was the Allo's have a septic bite (much like a komodo dragon) and after a single bite to the Diplodocus, all they had to do was wait.
They really should make sauropods fight back, even fierce predators like Allosaurus take care when hunting something 5 times bigger than themselves. (Except here they made either Allosaurus way too big, or the Diplodocus way too small.)
Looks about right. Diplodocus was a long animal, not a large one like Brachio, and mostof it's length was the tail. And Allosaurus was a big animal. Not as big as rexy but still a large one. This game isn't realistic at all (5 raptors killing a Dreadnaughtus??? Yeah sure!!!) Tho because you are right that Allosaurus were very careful when tackling a prey this large.
The diplodocus needs a size buff, they are too small. Also sauropods should be able to fight back, with whiping theropods with their tails, kicking or stomping predators
I think the Diplodocus models are based off the more famous D.Carnegii which was the smallest subspecies of Diplodocus. D.Hallorum (used to be called Seismosaurus) is the largest of the two subspecies. D.Carnegii was around 70-80 feet long while D.Hallorum was about 120-130+ feet long. Diplodocus in general weighed about 15-30 tons.
I don't think using their tails will do anything. Not only everything they do is like 10 seconds long but regardless.. a dinosaur could easily run away before it lands a hit. But, I do believe there should be something for them to defend themselves.
a lot of nice looking clips. The eating and hunting and defending parts though need improvement. Could also be nice to add age to the dinosaurs, to have them grow from hatchilings to grown ups. I get that they want to make the predatoprs look cooler, but really the hunt here is way to one sided. A Diplodocus would never get to that size if it had been that easy to take down though.
I really enjoyed this! If you want, I do have some ideas for other things like this you could do - ~ Plesiosaurus shoal attacked by Liopleurodon ~ Majungasaurus taking down Apatosaurus ~ Stegosaurus herd fending off predators (Allosaurus, Ceratosaurus, etc.) ~ Snowy Nigersaurus herd migration (with a few predators along the way) ~ Dryosaurus group running from ambushing Allosaurus(es) ~ Homalocephale(s) hiding in the undergrowth from predators ~ Camarasaurus (used as Paralititan) herd attacked by Carcharodontosaurus in the desert ~ Deinonychus pack(s) attack Muttaburasaurus herd (also in desert) ~ Troodon pack trying to survive in snow ~ Dilophosaurus pack following/ambushing small herbivore (maybe Nigersaurus) in deep jungle But still, keep up the great work!
Something they should add that would make the life on the Jurassic coasts episode is if they would let you move aquatic creatures into water if it is big and deep enough.
Not in this particular case. Allosaurus were known to hunt sauropods like Diplodocus though i am disappointed that Allosaurus isn't a pack hunter yet in this game even though it was irl
@@goalski134 true, but it's at least an improvement over JWE1 wherr Allosaurus couldn't touch Diplodocus even though they were Big Al's favorite snack in real life
Fun Fact, studies have shown that the bite force of an allosaurus, was actually surprisingly weak! Its been said that its bite force was actually less powerful then a modern day African Lion!
Does acrocanthosaurus have these animations? Because it was the sauripod hunting dino, be cool to see a video like this involving it if it has those animations.
If I’m able to get those green patterns with that red crest as well as a brown base skin color I’d be happy. Rn I’m still going through chaos theory and haven’t touched challenge mode yet so idk where I get what.

Aw man, it’s like The Ballad of Big Al all over again when the Allosaurs attacked a herd of Diplodocus.
I wish sauropods like diplodocus would be able to kill carnivores.
this episode will bring me nostalgia for walking with dinosaurs
The scenic start, the zoom in on the tree, the cinematic shots... ITS SO BREATHTAKING. Thank you for making this game worth the wait.
