GOD BLESS Y'ALL FOR SHARING THIS EXCITING BLESSING 🙏with those die hard dirt track racing loving fans (especially Super Late Models) like me who are unable to currently get to any races even though Cherokee isn't but a couple hours away from where I am in South Carolina. But I've been without a car for almost 4 years now (June 10th will be 4 years) since a woman ran a red light totalling my car leaving me unconscious and trapped in my car and she refused to go to the hospital which was a HUGE RED FLAG!!!! The doctor found out I had a torn rotator cuff and my humerus bone was shoved up above my shoulder instead of where it was supposed to be 8 months after the wreck and that was just as the pandemic was shutting everything down. It took them until March last year to finally do surgery to fix my shoulder. I am still waiting for my case to get settled but apparently it's going to have to go to court. That woman ran the red light and there were lot's of witnesses but that's not getting me a car now. Cab fare and Uber is ridiculously expensive. I'm praying that it gets settled soon 🙏 Y'all don't know what a PRECIOUS PRICELESS TREASURED BLESSING Y'ALL ARE TO THIS FAN!! 💞🤗💞🙏🙏🙏🙏 I so appreciate all the time effort and dedication and money spent in order to get the races recorded and uploaded for fans like me who would love nothing more than to be able to be there in person in the midst of the excitement but things will work out in GOD'S TIME not mine. I just have to be patient however, patience isn't my strong suit..LOL 🤣🤣 Thanks again for sharing this BLESSING and for all the time and effort y'all put in to get good quality videos. I live in Germany and unfortunately theres absolutely no Dirttrack Racing here.. I wish I could experience it and even better wish I could drive it! Only option I have is iRacing.. Why do they all place these foam boards in front of their wheels when they are working on their cars, right at the beginning? there must be a reason for that right?
I really wish you could experience it as well, getting to drive one as long as I did is definitely one of the best experiences I have had in life. Once you do it it stays in your blood forever! Who knows maybe one of these days you will be able to come over here and go to a race in person. So there are a couple of reasons teams cover tires and the backs of the cars with work mates and tarps. One reason is sunlight is bad for the tires and can pull the moisture out of the rubber especially after they grind them. This is also why you see tires wrapped in clear plastic wrap before they mount them and right up till they go out on the track . It helps keep the tires fresh longer….the other reason is they don’t want other teams to see the setup they are using…Thank you for commenting, and supporting our channel! It is awesome to have someone from Germany 🇩🇪 watching our videos and appreciating our content 👊🏻💯
@@thepetittlife5908 thank you for the quick reply! Oh that’s very interesting to know, I always love learning new stuff, thanks for clarifying that for me! Yes I really like watching your content since I love all these unique American racing series that almost nobody knows about outside of the USA! It’s so cool that you have these local tracks, in Germany there are quite a few amazing racetracks but they are bigger and often you cannot drive in them because they are closed for specific events. Luckily I will go the USA next year! I am an development engineer for a big German car company that has a plant in Chattanooga and I will be there for 2-3 weeks in the next summer! Then I want to go to those unique races and shoot some amazing guns, haha. I drove a lot of sports and race cars already, on the street and on tracks, even formula cars on the Motopark Oschersleben, which was a insane feeling with all the downforce going on, but I still think driving those late models sideways on a dirttrack must be such an amazing feeling!
@@rolux4853 That’s awesome that you have got to experience those kind of cars on those circuits over there. Kind of like you with dirt racing over here I would love to experience one of those cars over there…to rip around Nurburgring or a circuit like that in one of those cars I’m sure would be incredible 💯 I m glad your gonna be coming here, and honestly Chattanooga is an awesome place to visit and stay. Especially if you love the outdoors too, tons of incredible views, hiking trails, waterfalls near by all kinds of beautiful places to see and things to do close by. That’s about 4hrs from where we live. Also your in luck 🍀 Boyd’s Speedway is just outside Chattanooga in Ringold, Georgia. It’s right across the state line. As a matter of fact part of the pit area is still actually In Tennessee lol…so you will definitely get to see some good dirt track racing without having to travel too far….get with us close to when you are coming if you want, and maybe we can come hang out with you one evening or something while your here…show you around and stuff….
What's up with this track prep or was there not any? Lmao This is ridiculous to be this dry dusty and taking rubber before the late model heats but I guess it could be worse
Believe it or not they did till and water the track. I got there soon as the pits opened up to ensure I could secure the best place possible to film from and they were still working it then. This was 2 days in a row of daytime racing on it I’m sure that didn’t help. It just didn’t take it long to go away…unfortunately sometimes this is a product of daytime racing and why they don’t do it much later in the year once temperatures stabilize….the sun beating down on it while racing usually dries it out super quickly causing it to take rubber fast and slick over usually causing locked down around the bottom racing for the most part. Thank you for commenting and supporting our channel 💯
The track is historic right they have raced there for years? I was being more sarcastic than anyting but it is crazy how fast it takes Rubber and dries out. I was thinking the same thing it must be one of those racing Surface you can put as much work into the track and extra water damage, but it would probably still look just like this. Some soil/dirt just doesn't hold moisture like others.
@@woodywood7759 Yes it’s a very historic track especially to the area. It was built in the 1950s as a 3/8 mile, lengthened to 1/2 mile in the 60s. Till mid 2000s when it was reconfigured again back down to 3/8 mile it’s current configuration. But as far as the surface goes I guess it had just had enough racing on it in a short amount of time and was just done lol…I think the biggest factor was that it was warm out and a day race though…made it dry out super quickly and not able to retain much moisture….. also I’d say that clay is getting tired….every so often you got to replace at least part of it. Talladega Short Track did that over the off season because it’s surface had become lapped out.
Your very welcome and thank you for commenting! We love doing it and knowing that our subscribers look forward to more content drives us to keep digging and getting you all the great content we can

Ya they did prep the track after the night before believe it or not. I got there early to ensure I could secure the best spot I could to film. It was tilled up and watered. It just didn’t take it long to go away…I will say sometimes this is a product of daytime racing……sun beating down dries it out quicker etc….
