At 9m49s (ruclips.net/video/GQUZgi-84Jg/видео.html) you state, "you are legally allowed to fish this part here but where I'm about to go I have special access", implying that nobody can fish the water adjacent to the private property. To make certain that it's clear to NSW fishers, section 38 of the Fisheries Management Act (NSW) 1994 gives fishers the right to fish in tidal or non-tidal waters subject to only those restrictions imposed by the Act. Section 38 also allows fishers to be within the bed of non-tidal rivers or streams. In other words, fishers may wade up and down entire river reaches and fish from the bed of a river or stream, irrespective of ownership of the riverbed. The river bed being any part of the bed of the river or creek which is alternatively covered and left bare with an increase or decrease in water other than during floods. So, if anyone wanted to fish where private property signs are displayed on a non-tidal water, they would need to either use a kayak or wade if the water wasn't too deep. Fishers have a common law right to fish the sea, the arms of the sea and the tidal reaches of all rivers and estuaries.
The point here is that if you don't know the rules then you can (and you did) spread a load of FUD, at least as far as NSW anglers go.
One day I was off school with a friend and went whiting fishing and caught 6 then said one more cast and caught a 65-80cm flatty

Yeah I seem to find the fish like to go more out of there comfort zone in the dirt water. I don’t like it clear but I don’t like it fully brown either. Just a coffee colour is perfect👌🏼

Thanks mate. Also I was dunking both these fish in the drink every time the camera went off. Both fish were back within 3 mins and were constantly being put in the water. I have full respect for them thats why I do what I do. So they swim off soon as I release them.

I love how you don’t just show you catching fish, because with fishing there is always complications on the way if you get snagged lose fish etc absolutely honest bloke love the content you bring out no fishing trip ever goes perfect but even with all the hardship still a successful day in my eyes!

Agreed. It's a part of fishing to get snagged, have complications with your line, etc. Not a lot of vids on youtube show it but it happens to experienced fisherman and beginners alike.

Yeah I fished this 4 days after the heavy rain. It flooded a little bit around my area and all the lakes and creek were super high up. Luckily we didn’t cop it as bad as the poor people up in Queensland did :(

Been trying man that’s for sure. Love my rock fishing. Had some good salmon come through a couple weeks back and the kings and bonnies also come around. But I’ve been so ill the past few weeks and the rain and wind has been making the waves big
When I fish snaggy areas mate I mostly use offset worm hooks and a ball sinker . I find that they are heaps less a chance to snag . 🎣👍 Great clip J .

The fish use the high waters and push further up the back to feed. Salt water on the bottom and fresh water on the top.

Hi Josh I was looking at buying a Daiwa Infleel 732 LFS 1-4kg as my lighter Flathead rod. I do have a zodias 2-4kg as well.Do you think it would be too light as I see you are using an in fleet ex. Cheers Brad

Thanks matey. And switching from bait to lures is really challenging at first, but it’s well worth it in the end. For lures I’d use soft plastics. A good one is the zman 2.5 inch slim swimz in motor oil colour. And put that with a 1/8th size 1 hook jighead. I’m assuming your not using braid yet since you have just switched. So the heavier jighead will help with casting till you move to braid. Then you can use lighter weighted lures. That lure I recommend will catch EVERYTHING up your ways👌🏼 hope this helped😅

I ask because you seem to have access to some exceptional locations like when out in the boat with your dad to the rocky salt water spots. It’s beautiful country as well. More snags than a particular hardware chain entrance. I think the free net was balanced by the lure deficit. Just watching the sun come up and the still river was lovely. Thanks for another great vid Josh.

You should give the new my lure box softglides a go on yhe big flatties
Those knots develop from winding on slack line, easy done when working lures. I started making my own lures because of days like that, turns out I hate losing them more than mass produced lures.
