大家好, 我叫杨诗林。Hi, I’m Celine, and I’m from the Bay Area. As a first generation Chinese-American, I started learning Mandarin while living in Shanghai as a child, and I’ve taken Mandarin classes at my university to better connect with my community and for my future work. In my free time, I love to dance. I’ve danced with six clubs while at UC Berkeley, and even filmed a dance video for a major video game company.
People also call me “the waste girl” because waste has been a central theme in my work, whether it be driving circularity initiatives or boosting sustainability engagement at my campus and beyond. My passion for waste has grown into a mission to drive a global sustainability transformation.
As a Schwarzman Scholar, I can bring my intersectional sustainability perspective to the cohort and collaborate to build a more sustainable and just world. Thank you for considering my application.
