I see a lot of you commenting asking where the battery test is for the Realme GT, Redmi K40 / K40 Pro / Note 10 Pro and why they weren't in this video. Well the answer is simple. Those phones are in a different price bracket to these premium phones and those devices can all hit 120hz refresh rates so it didn't make sense for them to be in this video. I'm surprised by both the ROG 3 and the 12 pro max and especially the iphone. It only has 3600 mAh, but it's there with ROG 3 6000 mAh. That A14 bionic chip is amazing.

On the S21 do you disable nearby device scanning and the s pen? Both of these would improve battery life a little with no impact to usage in this test (and maybe even things a little as none of the other phones have a screen digitiser like the S21 Ultra).
The fact that the iPhone had comparable battery life to the "Kings" of Battery and a 40% larger battery than the ROG Phone 5 just makes me very excited for the future. Don't Forget that the iPhone had the highest resolution and it was at 60Hz

Blame the Apple for eating up all the TSMC's 5 nm node production capacity. We'd still see similar problem at the end of 2021 and early 2022 because they've have booked the entire capacity for the 3 nm for the up coming A15 and probably M2 SoC.

@@androidoneiu5206 it can’t degrade this quickly. The ROG 3 had been in use for 1 year on 120Hz-144Hz and didn’t degrade that much. Whereas, the S21U has been in use for probably 2 months at max and has degrade unusually fast. I think this has something to do with the software being not so good and chewing through battery.
The Rog 5 issue is that it has 2x 3000mah vs Rog 3 with 6000mah... That's how it gets its crazy fast 65w charging... But the negative side is it isnt as efficient as the single battery cell.

At last, a reference video to shut up the Samsung superfans that whine that 120Hz and QHD is why the s21U always gets beaten by the iPhone. Here is the proof that this is not the case and hopefully will shut them up for good and face the reality that even when both are on 5nm the A14 chip is so far ahead of the SD888 (even more the Exynos) that it is shocking. The s21U has a 33% larger battery and lost by nearly 10% (again!)!!! The iPhone was also a lot cooler throughout which is great for longevity and for not throttling. I understand that Samsung makes these SD888 and it does appear they have gone backwards and I wonder if Qualcomm will move to TSMC as Samsung foundries are not great. And of course, the A14 is last year's Apple chip so wait until September when the 15% more efficient A15 with 20% bigger batteries, it will be a shocking part 2!
The really amazing thing about this is that if you take away the screen power consumption, about 3 maH per minute, then the apple chip is using just about half the power of the android chips. That's just insane.

This shows how efficient iPhones are. It had the smallest battery by far, and for this particular test the highest resolution(all other phones were dropped to below 400 ppi, while the iPhone was above 450 ppi, thus pushing more pixels, which drains the battery), yet the iPhone performed as well as it did, impressive.

Hey the iphone is already working on 1440p and all other devices are at 1080p and also you should do the test in native fps as no one use their device at 60 fps and they are also the major selling point

The dual battery is also compromising the integrity of the phone. You can break just by bending it with your hands

At last, a reference video to shut up the Samsung superfans that whine that 120Hz and QHD is why the s21U always gets beaten by the iPhone. Here is the proof that this is not the case and hopefully will shut them up for good and face the reality that even when both are on 5nm the A14 chip is so far ahead of the SD888 (even more the Exynos) that it is shocking. The s21U has a 33% larger battery and lost by nearly 10% (again!)!!! The iPhone was also a lot cooler throughout which is great for longevity and for not throttling.
I understand that Samsung makes these SD888 and it does appear they have gone backwards and I wonder if Qualcomm will move to TSMC as Samsung foundries are not great. And of course, the A14 is last year's Apple chip so wait until September when the 15% more efficient A15 with 20% bigger batteries, it will be a shocking part 2!

The really amazing thing about this is that if you take away the screen power consumption, about 3 maH per minute, then the apple chip is using just about half the power of the android chips. That's just insane.

@@SayoojGarrix This test was run at 60hz for all phones. If other devices used 120hz, the battery drain test would be a massacre. iPhones are super-efficient and super-optimized. I'm hoping Samsung will start using their own chipsets worldwide and start optimizing them as well as Apple.
@@RabianskiT Samsung software is well optimized. But third party apps aren't optimized for Android. Android have more than 10M+ devices. So practically it isn't possible to optimize apps for each and every device
This shows how efficient iPhones are. It had the smallest battery by far, and for this particular test the highest resolution(all other phones were dropped to below 400 ppi, while the iPhone was above 450 ppi, thus pushing more pixels, which drains the battery), yet the iPhone performed as well as it did, impressive.
