It's videos like this that make me second guess getting a van for this lifestyle. You have most of the comforts down-pat but also get to enjoy four wheel drive, which allows you to isolate yourself in all those wild areas that would be off limits to a standard van. Looks cosy as all hell. I'm extremely jealous. Great job.

iReturnV1deotapes why would you be jealous. Nothing stopping you from finding a four-wheel drive truck and doing the same thing. I bought a four-wheel drive truck for the price of a lien sale. It belong to a friend of mine that passed away. His family gave it to me and I had to pay for the lien sale to get the title straightened out. They didn't want to take the truck from California to Texas.

Another good thing to do is make curtains out of little blankets. You get them at Walmart buy the black ones. When you hang them over your windows it makes it look like the windows are smoke tinted hang them on the inside. They will also keep flashlights from shining in your window at 3 in the morning. You know like when those idiots with the Chrome stars on their shirt go around harassing people. That's when you lay still and don't even move. In other words don't acknowledge that you're inside don't open the door for anything.

Some of the work is a bit rough around the edges and I might suggest rubbing some wax on the interior; no splinters and the wood drawers would slide better. You know what though? It's perfect. It has everything you need, it's laid out perfectly, comfortable and well equipped. I've seen truck campers and trailers that cost a fortune and aren't nearly as well thought out as yours. Cheers fella, great job!!!

Nice little setup. I use to have 4x4 nissan pickup. Do you still have it? Would love to see more trekking adventure from you. With a taco stand bit at the end when you get back into civilization. That is the feather in the cap.
We use to take it all the way down Padre Island to the Port Mansfield cut in south Tejas. Fish and camp for two nights. Never saw another soul the whole time. Loved the sound of waves at night and the amazing sky at night. We had to keep food stored on top at nights because of coyotes. They were brazen.
