Indian Origin Nikki Haley, who is former South Carolina governor, kicked off her campaign for 2024 Republican presidential bid on February 15. She is challenging her former boss, US President Donald Trump, who holds a strong lead in Republican Party. During her address at the campaign for 2024 Republican presidential bid at Charleston in South Carolina she said, I am the proud daughter of Indian immigrants and I am blessed that they are here today.” The daughter of Indian immigrants, Haley, gained a reputation among Republicans for signing major bills. Nikki Haley has announced her candidacy over 20 months ahead of 2024 election, way before other top Republican contenders.
