You look happy from your soul. Maybe if you look back to yourself in the past you may see yourself nowadays smile a lot and less worry comparing to back then. As a Thai I am happy for you. Good things happened start from good mind and inner peace. Surrounded by peaceful environment can make you a better person and you may like yourself more and more every single day. We are not just Sabai Sabai or don’t care about growth in terms of money as some people think we are. But what we care more it’s way more related to the concept work-life balance. The word wealthy for us is not just the money things. We also include health , relationship , mindfulness as wealth.
@BeingAnneChannel Thank you so much for your kind, encouraging comment. Also, thank you for saying that Thai people are more than Sabai Sabai and that pursuing monetary wealth in balance with health, relationships, and mindfulness is the way. One of the things I love about being here is how people embrace technology, including social media. It's not viewed as negative. People continue to respect the history, culture, and each other while recognizing the possibilities for the future. You are right. I am learning to worry a lot less and smile a lot more from deep within. I continue to work towards a good mind and inner peace every day 🙏🏾🫶🏾😍
So glad you moved from Portugal to Thailand. I prefer Thailand for its warm weather, affordable cost of living and casualness. I am tank top and flip flop guy every day :)
I am very surprised by your statement that you finally found the way inside yourself. That's the solution of Buddhism that focuses inside, in the mind, and in thought. When you stay with yourself peacefully, you will find it, definitely inside yourself. I hope you find the answer to your life soon. Thailand always welcomes you
I also live in Bangkok and I have the same feelings as you said. You gave me a lot of courage to move ahead to “new chapter of my life”. Thank you so much for uploading this video.
Thank you, thank you for your honesty and sharing. I feel I am you. I am scared of my future, I am 58 from the USA, but lived in Ireland for over 20 years raising my children who now live their own life. I moved to Spain mainly to get away from the weather, there have been life challenges here in Spain. I have a job in Spain, but only to survive, even without working to survive I am still not content with where I am at and I feel constantly judged by family by making the move from Ireland. I am floundering and scared. I am delighted to be following someone that is relatable. Thank you. I also just returned from a trip to Bangkok/Thailand and I said to my husband that I felt more comfortable in Thailand then I do in Spain. I am also a worrier of what others think of me, and I always overthink to the point of chronic anxiety. Looking forward to listening about your journey.
Thank you so much for sharing. We definitely have a lot in common, and I bet you're your own worst critic. Give yourself some credit -- you've raised your kids to live their own lives. Raising kids is the hardest job of all. Now, you've got your whole life ahead of you, and like me, you're not used to having options and making choices that don't involve what's best for others. It is definitely scary, but in a good way. As far as what others think of you, you'll start to care less when you start focusing on what YOU think of you. I know it's not easy and it's something I have to work at every day. You got this💕💕
It's not Bangkok culture, but it's Buddhism Philosophy. Inner self is more important than material wealth. If you have spare time, visit buddish temple. Some temple have Foreigner monk. If you can find one of the foreigner monk, ask him about what he discovered from Buddhist Philosophy. You might find something that you are looking for. It's just a way of life which is different from the west.
My dearest Kirsten, from my understanding, you were a Nurse right!? Then You dear have paid back to the world in abundance with all the lives you cared for and saved! So, I'm my opinion, You Do Not need to volunteer anymore! This is your time now. If you must, then please volunteer to yourself now! Love Your channel❤
Happy Belated Birthday! Congratulations on your journey to more self love. I get excited when people get to this part of life. I am 70 and most of my life was spent not feeling worthy enough to give to myself. I was always caretaking everyone but myself. When I turned 50, my well was empty and I had to find a way to replenish it. It feels weird at first, but it takes practice. When you begin this journey, you will keep surprising yourself with parts of yourself you never knew existed. I read a lot of books that helped me. The Artists Way by Julia Cameron was cathartic. Barbara Sher's books I Could Do Anything If I Only Knew What it Was and It's Only Too Late if You Dont Start Now.
Thank you, and thanks for your encouragement. Also appreciate your book recommendations. I have heard of The Artists Way and look forward to starting with that one. You're right. It all feels weird and takes lots of practice, but I'm committed 🫶🏾
Thanks Kirsten. Been watching your channel since Portugal. So happy for your new focus on your life and this channel. Will be retiring in about a yr. A little scared but ready for a new chapter. I want to do the work within now before retirement and moving abroad. Looking forward to seeing your next chapter and videos ❤
Almost of my life I have been thinking about responsibility to my family. Now I'm getting older, I have to learn how to love and care about my need and want. But old habit is hard to break. I can give all the money & things to my loved ones without thinking about myself first. I'm trying hard to live for myself but let see how far can I go. I'm glad you found Thailand helps you in somehow or someway. I hope it'll happen to me too. I'm Thai but lived abroad for a long time. I just move back to Thailand last year because I was so sick. My family forced me to come back hear for the treatment, which is faster & better than abord (in my opinion). Now it's time to heal my body, heart and soul. I'm glad to found your channel. Thanks🙏😊
Hi, i hope your health is on the mend now that you are back here in Thailand. I'm sure your family is happy to have you home, and I hope you're adjusting well now that you're here. You're right. It's hard to break old habits. Just take it a day at a time and do your best. It's a funny feeling putting yourself before others. You'll find the balance💕🙏🏾😀
Happy belated birthday!!!🎉 Relax and enjoy your life. You are definitely worthy! I look forward to moving to Bangkok when I can retire. Blessings to you and Mark.
Thank you for sharing your vulnerability, Kirsten! You're right. Others will always seek to volunteer you or suggest ways to occupy your time. As if existing for your own peace isn't enough. I'm glad you reflected on what's best for you in moving forward. As a fellow RN, I enjoy watching you take the break. I'm happy for you. 🫶🏿👍🏾
Happy belated! Have you ever kept a journal of your thoughts and feelings? I really hope you find what you are searching for. Sometimes, it will find you once you quiet the 'noise' around you.

Live in the present, not in the past or future.
It’s ok to have good fortune.
Path of Buddhism is great just peace and harmony
