Walking around Sydney Opera House in the afternoon.
The Sydney Opera House is a multi-venue performing arts centre at Sydney Harbour located in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. It is one of the 20th century's most famous and distinctive buildings.
Designed by Danish architect Jørn Utzon, but completed by an Australian architectural team headed up by Peter Hall, the building was formally opened on 20 October 1973.
The building and its surrounds occupy the whole of Bennelong Point on Sydney Harbour, between Sydney Cove and Farm Cove, adjacent to the Sydney central business district and the Royal Botanic Gardens and close by the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
The Sydney Opera House was formally opened by Queen Elizabeth II, Queen of Australia on 20 October 1973. A large crowd attended.

The Sydney Opera House is on Bennelong Point. Bennelong was a local Aboriginal man who lived on the point when the first British fleet arrived.He became friends with first British Colonial Governor of New South Wales, Admiral Arthur Phillip, and actually sailed back to Great Britain with Phillip. Eventually he returned to Sydney Cove, but apparently was affected forever by the experience. The Sydney First Nations peoples were dispossessed and suffered from European diseases to which they had no resistance.
