- 7 months of trail camera action from Big Cypress National Park in southwest Florida. The action started out pretty slow but when Spring had sprung, the bears seemed to get more active. The otters were an interesting addition and the possums are battery killers.
"that damn possum is eating up my sd card"
*5 possum crossings*
After you mentioned the possum, I had a chuckle every time one went through. They look much darker than our Tennessee ones. Love your videos, always a treat to see the wildlife in their natural habitat. Thank you ,Tim.
Breaks my heart to see 4 and then only 2.
Yeah, its the way of nature. Heartbreaking to think about though. Reminds me to be thankful how well most of us humans have it.
That possum cracked me up! Definitely the star of this show. Love it
It's apparent to me that neither squirrels nor 'possums have much respect for your SD cards!
Love you videos! Thanks for posting!
The Opossum was so funny! Still great footage! 👍👍👍
Excellent, Tim! Despite your lament about the possum, he kinda adds comic relief. Thanks so much for all your work - every time I see you have a new video, it gets opened immediately.
Another great video Tim. My favorite was of course the big male Panther. Keep it up and don`t get eaten.
Very cool video. Lots of Bears, a few Otters, and those Possums were all over the place. The Panthers were especially cool.
I loved the male cardinal with his baby. He was teaching it how to eat a caterpillar. So cute.
Thank you so much, Tim! It looks like a healthy bear population and they didn't mind the branch-covered trail. This turned out to be a great video and the little busy possum fits right in. :) At least there are still some panthers left because I read they were all gone in these parts of Florida. I guess they didn't talk to the panther and failed to tell him he is not supposed to exist! I'm telling you, everybody who gets a paycheck from the state wants to be an expert. I guess in order to talk wildlife to have to mingle with it once in a while. :)
I'm really glad you always take us on your journey in! Not just the film but the adventure also. Cheers!
that opossum every five minutes: >:3
Just amazing Tim . I so look forward to your videos. You stated this might be the end. Boy I hope not. No one else even comes close to your presentation . Thanks for all your hard work.
I just love the possums and the squirrels! They are just wonderful! And all the other animals. It is a great video. It gives you the whole wild life picture. Thank you!
Your videos are always a delight to watch. This new one is proof of that fact. I appreciate the time and effort it takes to share them with us. Thank you, Tim.
I appreciate how hard you work to put these videos together, start to finish. Love seeing wildlife being wildlife.
Imagine those poor bears walking around in a fur coat all summer. It looks like the heat wears you out too. It's fun to see the little eyes hiding in the background when a predator goes by. I think that at least one possum had a vision problem. Love your videos! 😊
Lol, never fails, bears just have to stop and get all up into your business. 😁😁😁🐻
Thank you Tim!!! The panthers, a bobcat, bears of all different sizes, Bambi’s, even a disabled possum , and so many more 🎉 Can’t express how grateful I/we are for all of your time, patience, dedication, and talent that go into making these videos 🥂🍾 It is always the highlight of the day, if not week🧡💛💜 Is this the Browning camera that displays a higher than actual temperature? Enjoy life until we see you again 😉
Thank you as always for another great video. I didn't mind the opossums at all. LOL.
Glad you enjoyed it
Great job! Lots of bears and love the racoon family and the Cardinals. Had a Cardinal hatch In my yard this year, was awesome to watch. Thank you Tim.
Oh my gosh the mom and baby raccoons , so cute. Thank you and the bears too wow lots of bear action
Bear didn't take a bite out of the camera, that's a win! Looking forward to your next adventure 😊
Thank you for yet another amazing, awesome excellent trail camera adventure.
That little possum wanted to be the star of the show, and he was. Although that bear is a close 2nd.
Great watching another one of your videos. Thank you for putting them together for us.
Tim, do you ever share your videos with the FWC? I think they'd really be interested, especially with the panthers and bears!
He does.
Thanks Tim,trying to use my powers of observation!! Maybe 4 /5 individual bears, ground hog day possums:one blind in one eye.Beautiful male panther, wondering if Florida's big cat populations are too fragmented or are wildlife corridors having success? fan pat from England,UK
Since 1970, their numbers are up from 20 to about 200. Most of the known losses are to vehicle accidents. Not driving - getting hit. 😁 Most are in SW Florida, although they will wander.
That is a huge black bear. I love it. Amazing finds.
Been waiting patiently for another video to come out it was great. You are so awesome for sharing your videos. Thank you so much it's the only way I will ever see Florida.😁❤️
Thanks for the hard work backbreaking it's awesome, always looking forward for your next video 📹..
Love the bear mic checks 😂
I love broke back trail. Certainly well named. Much thanks for your hard work.
Happy Birthday Tim
Happy Birthday, Tim. It's mine too Hope you have a good one. Keep posting great videos.
Thanks, will do!
Another Great Video!! In the beginning u talked about being afraid. If its true u must tell us how u overcome yr fear cuz u just walk right on in there. Its truly amazing!! Loved the video. Can't wait til the next one!
Sorry that you had to walk a mile back to retrieve the GoPro. I used to shuttle cars for work and I quickly learned that before I dropped off another car to take 1 minute to look all over the front seat area. It's amazing how settled in to a place you get and just lay stuff around.
Where I am in Oregon the cougars come through and raise havoc. They go for deer first but those are harder to catch. I had 2 litters of friendly raccoons and the cougars wiped them out. They love raccoons almost as much as deer. Apparently nobody eats possums.
There was a song years ago "I don't like spiders and snakes" well I can add to that list any kind of bugs. Thank you for being brave and walking through all that buggy stuff to bring us these great videos!
That should've made the list of:
Worst Songs from the 70s!!
(I Don't Like Spiders & Snakes)
Maybe I go listen to it for old times sake?
At least it was better than the endless
Thump-thump super bass F* this & that
Cr@p they listen to all the time now!!
I do love that location but it does look like it’s being squished a bit. Great captures regardless! Thank you for you hard working getting these videos so we can watch!
I'm delighted to hear from you, Tim! Terrific video today. Thank you so much!
Bears, buck and bobcat. What's not to love!
Hey Tim thanks for sharing your hard work. I just love it all.
The panther on 2/22 has one of the ears cropped. Do you think it was tagged? On felis catus that usually means a community cat that's been spayed but I'm know they didn't spay this big boy.
I thought and wondered the same thing.
I am in the Estates, east Naples ; been following you since the early days. Bought two of those cameras, love them. Never knew so many Panthers were checking my goats. Now one camera says
'card full. ' Did the format, changed card...still says it. Any suggestions or fix? Love this channel.
Googling the problem I find . . . "If the SD card does not have images on it when getting the "Card Full" message try another SD card to see if the issue is resolved. If another SD card is not available you may try reformatting the SD card based on the above information keeping in mind it is possible, should there be a defect with the SD card, that this will not resolve the issue and trying another SD card would still be recommended."
@@hikerJohn Thanks, I formatted and changed cards...problem still exists. Thanks again.
Tim,
Love the videos man! Keep posting we really appreciate your content.
while I was in Florida I was hoping to do this kind of thing with you at least once preferably off camera or for me for the most part. I just enjoyed nature and since all my friends are gone now I thought it could have been great
12:29 I wonder if that bear got that opossum.
Oh nice, Cardinals, I don't think I've ever seen those, in any of your videos, yet. :D And I've been watching them for about 4 and half - 5 years, now. :D
Nice variety of creatures 👌
Maybe it should be called the opossum and bear trail
Okay, that was definitely a, "possum-cam," a lot of the time.
Still, I do understand why you were a little nervous, heading into that brush.
That was a big bear, and that puma wasn't exactly small, either. 😰
We (me + cats) love your videos! Having to pause just now as cats are getting a bit aggressive with their attacks against opossum!
So many bears. lol And 6:12 😍 Thank you as always for sharing, Tim! Hope all is well.
You gotta love that possum. Thanks Tim.
Great job Tim Love your Videos
Thank you!
Tim once again another great video.
Another Beautiful video Tim. Thank you so much for all you do.
You never disappoint, my wife and I always enjoy your videos. I would be more worried about running into that panther than I would the bears, better you than me. Lol
Gentle rain🌧️👍
Omg all those bears and your in there with no weapons in case u get jumped by a wild animal!
Not to mention Crocs, cougars and now
PYTHONS overtaking Everglades?
Tim, I have a suggestion for you. Get yourself an inexpensive machete or better yet, a kukri. Most come w/a belt sheath. That way, you'll be able to trim some as you go and open those trails up a bit. Again. Thanks for all the hard work that you do to present this beautiful flora and fauna!
BTW: Do your bears hibernate like ours do up north? Also, I'd feel good knowing that you carried bear spray with you on those trails!
They don't hibernate in South Florida.
Bears hibernate in cold climates, not Florida.
Another excellent video - Thanks Tim.
Glad you enjoyed it
Enjoyed the video.
I love Broke Back Trail! Great video, love all the critters. Thanks for what you do!
Thanks for another amazing video. I love them all
Another great trail camera video. I think you will make Broke Back trail great again, I'm certain of it. Some pretty cool bear action going on in there. And if you would have had the camera just a little lower you would have been face to camera lens with that swamp cat ~ aka Florida panther. I wish you the best in getting that trail back to where it should be. Awesome video as always Tim!
Love your videos Tim!
Do you pick up ticks in there?
Wondering same
I love that you call your Browning “ReconX”!!
Trail cam humor for those that know.
LOL.
wild Florida!
welp! THAT was a male catamount!
I have missed you! Always enjoy your videos
I have a roadrunner that eats up my sd card, lol, good videos!
Think that is same male black bear? Only saw that one with a 'hitch 'eft right rear once, but, seemed like, maybe different, not as heavy male five times, and female with year-long cub once. Hard to be sure except for sow&yearling.
You are the best!
Good stuff Tim. Was that an older Recon Extreme? Still working great. We had them, then got new models, I usually donate the older cameras to some educational programs. I think I still have one or two of the Recon Extremes. Most now are Recon Advantage and Edge cameras. And Spec Ops Advantage and Extremes, and Dark Ops cameras. Would be nice if you could open up the trail more. Check with the park, perhaps they'll do it? Take care buddy... and thanks.
Wish that the Park would help SPONSOR Tim's incredible Conservation Works!!!
The least they could do is provide Protection Companionship while Tim is in such Remote Wildness: aside from
- the Crocodiles, Large Cats and
She-Bears with cubs
- there's still questionably issues as to whether potential Serial-Killer, Brian Laundrie, remains hiding in FL Wilderness
Otters!!!🐝🤗❤️
7/3 - 99 degrees, and you're dressed in a long-sleeved shirt, I'm guessing for the bugs, but I don't know how you do it!
Love your videos!
Gambá de orelha branca é a mesma espécie que encontramos no Brasil?
Lindos registros!
But the pepper trees are...
It's great that you do these videos. Love your channel and Bobbys too.
Love seeing the panther and the pair of cardinals! is anyone you can trust to help you cut some of those branches?
Aaawww, I love that opossum. Diligently doing it's rounds. And what happened to the rest of the raccoon family? She came with 4 and in the end, there were only 2 little ones left! Really enjoyed this one. And I loved the squirrel in the beginning, looking for the nuts it burried there somewhere. Those bears are impressive. Thanks for another great video.
Cut me a cabbage boot. Lots a cabbage there or so it looks to be,,,
Bears love that cabbage. ,,
That one male bear was fat. So possums and mice head to the right, and bears, cats, and raccoons head to the left. That one possum seemed to be marking territory. You could cut a circular path of 100’ diameter and see if the animals like checking out the loop. No Chupacabra or Yeti so far, keep trying.
Thanks Tim. Great video. Be careful
Love your videos
I look forward to seeing your videos 😊
That possum is a showoff! Camera hog!
I counted 29 times for the possums and should of counted the bears but didn't. Looks like the two of them were competing for screen time. No mater how you count it , some great footage of Florida's critters.
Oh I don’t think Possum was any more busy than Bear and kids
Always love your videos
Tim we love your videos & really look forward to viewing the videos. With that said we understand why you will be no longer be doing so.
Hi Julie. I'll have more videos soon. I was only talking about videos from that trail because it is overgrown with trees.
Boy that possum is a regular visiter
Bears! Bears! Bears!
Machette!
I have the same Browning camera (three years old), and I recently found that its power switch sometimes loses its connection. The camera stays off for a while, (and because of this) it drops into its default settings (triggered photos, no videos, date and time reset to January 2016). In the heat of the day, it would turn itself back on, but it was no longer set to record videos. I discovered what might be the problem when I lightly touched the power button (tripping the camera on and off with barely any finger pressure). A simple solution seems to be working... Before I put the camera out on the trail, I exercise its power switch ...toggling it off and on a handful of times to decrudify the power contacts. No more touchy switch, and so far, I haven't had a problem with lost settings. (I also buffed the battery contacts for added measure). Nothing lasts forever, but I see nothing new for sale that's any better (more money, more bells and whistles -- but video quality the same or worse).
Interesting. I've never had a camera go back to the default settings while out in the field.
