Goku powered up on Korin tower and everyone else felt it full force and Gohan just standing there un-phased. There were so many hints than Gohan was stronger than everyone but it was so subtle
In the manga Gohan even thinks that Goku isn't going full power, Goku then corrects him during the cell games that Gohan has been comparing Goku's strength to his own.
Aaah, the good ole' days. I had a lot of empty pockets, struggles and obstacles as a young adult about 23-25. But thanks to Goku and gang, I had somebody behind me!
Goku wanted to hang out because he knew that he was most likely going to die and that Gohan would only unlock his full power in the actual heat of battle. It would be better to use the time to fully appreciate his family, friends and surrounding world for a final time.

They really need to rewrite goku in super and bring him back to this goku. More smart and serious. He can be funny too at times but it's the perfect mix. Meanwhile Super Goku is just plain dumb and childish. Even dragonball kid/teen goku was more smarter and serious

Ive only noticed now but gohan already reached ultra instinct when he reached super sayain 2 , he dodged all the attacks the most powerful kamehameha from cell that time was defeated easily he punched him right in the stomach and he was really injured , he was given many power shots by cells sons and never got injured its not that gohan will reach ultra instinct he already has achieved part of it
