The most unrealistic thing about the Emberverse series, in a world where electricity and other physical phenomena no longer work, metal music dies. That which is dead can never die.
Interesting how some of these songs (Lazarus, Trinity, Into Infinite Obscuary) sound almost like high medieval or renaissance pieces when played on a classical. Beautiful!
Is this classical guitar though? It might be just a vocabulary thing, but I noticed it’s got twelve strings. As far as I know, classical guitars have six strings. This guitar is a twelve-string acoustic, I believe. Correct me if I’m wrong.
@@yunamadsimackomen881 Well youre not wrong, its not a traditional guitar. In all cases however, 12 string guitars just add more sonic depth, where as the classical tone (or any tone for that matter) is defined by the woods used and the nylon strings.
Beautiful acoustic parts, all beautiful played as well! The outro for Dirge of November has a very special place in my heart and that opening is chilling. And Born for Winter... man
@2sich I actually wanted to start recording some acoustic material and your recordings of you acoustic covers always sound do crisp and clear. Would you mind sharing what equipment you use to record your acoustic material. Or any suggestions on what to look for?

Omg some of your choices are fantastic. Death, Nile, Opeth, Dissection, all those bands have great acoustic tracks and you nailed all of them. I hope you do a part two! 👏🏻
I was the older brother so I had to go through a nu metal phase before I found the good shit, it took me a bit longer. I guess I did show my younger sisters stuff like Nile and Cannibal Corpse when they were really young though.
This is exactly why I love metal/metal core. Take away the distortion and you still have something beautiful with the same licks. Nice touch with the nylon by the way

I just now realize how much metal songs sounds like the soundtrack to a fantasy RPG game when played on an acoustic guitar
Yeah, haven’t really thought about it that way but you’re right.
Metalheads are just fantasy nerds with extra steps.
@@RosesAndWhine I’m pretty sure most power metal bands are just fantasy nerds who can play instruments
@@RosesAndWhine why is this so accurate
Sir I'd take a second to thank you for your inventions…
Every metal song that comes out needs an acoustic version released right along side it. I could listen to this all day
Its unreasonable soothing 😌 😴
any of these would pass as RPG game music
Pssst, RPG music is metal on classical instruments...
I can’t unhear it now, every single one sounds like something out of a 90s-early 00s rpg

My apologies. She uses different guitars throughout the video. I did not realize. Never mind my previous question, then.

That's why distortion is so important
That Opeth moment is one of the beautifulest pieces of music ever. Bravo dyevushka.
This song is so well composed. The first and the last acoustic part sandwich the harsh middle part. It's one of my favourite songs.

Maybe Beethoven, Mozart and Bach were actually time traveling metalheads! This sounds very beautiful btw! Love it!
Yeah, lots of metal is very baroque, classical...
Metal has always shared a similarity to classical music. Obviously not all sub-genres of metal, but you know..
Maybe they were actually BORN IN WINTER
rock came from classical music
Vivaldi especially... he was probably more into speed/power/prog metal though :)
Impressive how Dissection's song at 4:37 acoustically sounds like a troubadour/medieval song! 😲👌
