Not as good as it used to be back in 2008-2013 unfortunately. It's all "fitspo" influencers now. Pre Instagram era you would walk out with literally multiple trash bags full of free stuff.
Attendance at the Arnold was way down this year compared to pre-Rona. On Saturdays (pre-2020) it is so packed that it is literally body to body everywhere. I expect next year’s to be at that level of crowdedness. This year since the lockdowns ended pretty much the week before not too many companies were able to commit on such short notice.
I only wore a mask if I absolutely had to. Anyone who applied even a little logic could realize a mask made from an old tee shirt wasn’t going to stop a microscopic virus. Now studies just happen to be coming out showing they didn’t do anything after the fact. Who would’ve thought
@@hitleractually8180 I didn't want this thread to devolve into an argument about lockdowns & masking, but many big states & cities (California, Pennsylvania, New York, Boston) had their own versions of lockdowns lifted very recently, while other places (most notably Florida & Texas) have been open for quite a while. My point was that when they announced that Arnold 2022 was going to happen, it was mid-September(?) and a lot of places were still locked down. Considering the $ companies have to put down for a booth there, I'm not surprised a lot of companies decided to wait it out until 2023.
That monolift inside a rogue monster rack during the strongman classic was beautiful. I might have to make that happen in my home gym if it becomes available to purchase.
Giants Live puts on some serious shows but it’s strongman focused. Strongman Classic in July is at the Royal Albert Hall. Pretty dope. If you want a similar vibe(CrossFit, equipment, strongman) to Arnold Expo then look no further than the Arnold Sports Festival UK in Sept.
Nice to see the bells of steel bar has extra long sleeves, sucks using a cheap trap bar if you use bumpers at home you're really limited to a max of like 500 if not lower.
@@kyleallen7383 yeah 100%, I bought bumpers and wish that I didn’t. I really wanted the cast iron plates, but it was the start of COVID and literally everyone was out of stock. (Except eBay and Craigs list for 5x the markup)

Coop! Come down to Austin, TX this fall for the Rogue Invitational. You gotta check out the sick strongman equipment they come up with for the comp and for the record breaker.
Its good to see that companies actually acknowledge issues and solutions that people point out. If most industries did that this world would be a better place lol.
Mr. Olympia contest would be great to see....many of those guys have RUclips channels where they talk about their training. Perhaps a collaboration about their favorite equipment and home gym items...most use a commercial gym but also have gyms at home
Now that the Rogue invitational is a thing that would be really cool to see some behind the scenes. Also some videos at Elite FTS gym would be cool to see too.
Coop is never, ever going to get an invite to the EFTS gym. They have nothing in common with Coop. Dave Tate would feel awkward, confused, and angered by Coops presence. Coops not really a lifter - his focus is general fitness.
NSCA National Conference has one of the best showings of equipment companies, far more then the Arnold. Since there are a lot of pro, college and international strength coaches there with crazy high budgets, the equipment companies bring out their BEST stuff. Not sure it would fit your channel, but that's one of the best ones.
Intrigued by the powerblock bench. Living in an apartment with just dumbells and a bench ive been missing having access to dips and pullups. If its compact enough id definitely buy.
It’s super compact. It sells on Amazon so you can try out and return without issues. My friend has one in his apartment and also the flat bench PowerBlock sells that folds up which he stores in a closet. I have the Ironmaster Super Bench Pro and do pull-ups and dips on it. Doing them on the PowerBlock bench feels just as solid.
I would like to see you review exercise equipment designed for wheelchair users both paraplegic and quadriplegic. I know cybex makes equipment that can be used while still in a wheelchair. You also need to look at equipment designed to help people with little to no grip strength, active hands makes good aids & lifting hooks need reviewed as well.
The video was amazing! I have learn so many things from this channel. I am on of your oldest viewer. And due to the pandemic thing my health was badly distrub. I got extreme fat and took things seriously, started working out found some good supplements. Okinawa is my fav.
It would be so cool if you could head to some UK/European events. A lot of the equipment you review we can get over here but some things just aren't an option (Titan, Rep, Sorinex etc.). As you're expanding the GGR community, it would be great to get more global and we have some awesome brands I'm sure your viewers across the pond would love to see reviewed, like MiraFit, Primal Strength, Wolverson, Bulldog, BLK BOX etc.
HOLLY SHIT i just realized that coop is the Good timeline coop from meet the robensions. After winning his baseball game he dedicated his life to the gym and now teaches millions about gym equipment
Good lord that bells of steel belt squat just went on the buy list. That thing looks legit. My wallet thanks you for saving the rogue booth for next week.
@@fatalfacial also double the cost, and way to expensive for what it is. It may be awesome, but it's still just a platform with handles and a weight pin that goes to a belt. The belt and pin cost like $60. No way that platform is worth $1500. I currently do the exact same thing standing on cinder blocks holding my squat rack for damn near free.
The multi grip bar will be my next pick-up. Went to Rogue while I was at the Arnold and saw the angled handles. Definitely going to wait til later in the summer because they're releasing a cambered multi grip bar with the adjustable handles
Coop, when you were behind the scenes, you did a deadlift on a rack that looked like a combination car deadlift/ Viking press frame. What was that and who makes it?

I’d love to see a comparison between the Titan stand alone leg curl/extension vs the rack attachment version. Or any other company’s similar to that budget friendly option. New video maybe?🤔😂
We'd all love to see you compete at the World Mustache and Beard Championships next year - it would add some welcome variety to you emasculating us all with your 900 lb bench presses every week.
Start looking at your own games! Invite the manufacturers, it be a product intro "games" for gym equipment....have some coop metals designed, Gold, Silver, Bronze....
That was me @56 Seconds “Coop!” Sorry to interrupt the video just pumped to see you at the Arnold!
