Just came back to this video. I appreciate the whole "don't judge people by the way they live" part. As someone who suffers from depression and can have a hard time maintaining my property, I found that a very respectful and mature way to address the situation. Thank you!
Ammo in a burn pile…I’m still shaking my head on that one!!! This was one very messy property but now that it’s been 'Bradified' it’s looking like a whole new place! Great job!
thanks so much for all the clean you you do and share, these are the kind I like To look at. I don't like it when I am watching one where they just mowed around everything and leave.. I love seeing a yard fully Cleaned up nice and fresh.. Awesome job
I drilled two holes in the bottom of my trash carts so any water that got in it would drain out. That WAS one nasty mess. Thank you so much for cleaning it up. I take it the "metal guy" didn't want the metal?
I wanted to do that, it made so much sense to do something like that. But my trash company said we could get in trouble for damages.....I wonder if they see how those cans are treated when they're being dumped.
Amazing transformation! When I saw you cutting up those cages after finding the ammo, my thoughts immediately turned to dog fighting ring or something! What pigs those people were! When I got my house, my first year of trying to get the yard somewhat cleaned up, I was finding all kinds of garbage there. Some idiot tried to burn glass, cans, computer parts, etc. When I found the computer parts, I had the sheriff come by and determine if it was something they needed to know about or what. I wasn't about to toss it, if it was something important they might need to know about. They gave me the all clear to toss it. I didn't want the responsibility of that decision! For years I'd find socks just popping up in the yard. As I cleaned up my planting bed around my deck, I found a door knob, screwdriver, golf balls, other broken things, a serving fork buried way deep, and, the oddest thing: a pair of eyeglasses! That one had me a bit freaked out! I took the glasses to my eye doctor because they take them to fix up for some charity. So, while your cleanup was MUCH worse than mine, it certainly brought back some memories of my long-winded clean up! If I were that owner, I'd be plenty ticked off at the shape of that fence!! And, boy, this would be a great place to do some pressure washing, too!
@@CopperCreekCuts Thanks! It was so stupid and, frankly, suspicious where I found these burned parts in the yard. I wrestled with "wasting" their time on it, but I just wasn't comfortable tossing this stuff in case it might be tied to a crime of some sort. I mean, who tries to burn a computer??
Burning a computer, gun ammunition & other things smells really fishy to me. What were they trying to hide that they didn't want others to find out about???
We had a very similar experience with a house/acreage we bought once in Oregon. We found a H U G E dump in the woods that was invisible until we got the tractor in and pulled out all the overgrowth. You've heard of everything and the kitchen sink? Yep. And every single pile of brush on the 5 acres had garbage under it, plus a pile of cat litter literally 2 feet up the side of one tree. And after being there about a year, an entire shirt surfaced in the back yard after a few heavy rains.
@@theREmissionary Wow! I feel a bit better about my yard after seeing that! My property is only a little larger than a quarter acre. I'm really glad I didn't have the kitty litter issue! It's been a while since I found any socks. They might all be found now. I've been here 10 years and I was finding socks for at least 6 of those years. The shirt would have really thrown me for a loop! I still still come across a stray golf ball or small toy or something. I'm not sure if they're just appearing from the Earth, or if the squirrels and raccoons are dragging them in!

Hey Brad, I used to work with a trash company in North Carolina, I delivered and picked up the roll out trash carts, I always carried a cordless drill with a 1/4 inch drill bit find a good place for the water to drain and start putting holes in the cart, works very well, just a bit smelly lol
They had fighting chickens. Those round wire things were for one rooster and they keep them that small a cage. Sometimes 100s. Metal for a roof perhaps. Probably did some pitbulls for dog fights too.
💜 fantastic job! I can only imagine the shape of the inside of the home. Personally I feel it was their choice to toss trash in the lawn as opposed to using the trash can. Obviously the tenant had no respect for the property.
I was thinking about the inside as well. Thank you for helping the owner as no one never knows how people live they can only trust and if they loose their trust you make them pay, simple as that.
It looked more like cock fighting. There were some cages designed for birds. Makes me think they had roosters fighting. Finding ammo at the site leads me to think this was a place where animals were treated poorly for game. Brad did an amazing job cleaning it up. Stay safe Brad!
those cages weren't thick enough for dogs, especially fighting dogs.It looked like chicken wire to me,which probably means rabbits or they could be chicken cages
@@CopperCreekCuts you all are probably right, more likely to be rabbit cages, or chicken cages. Who would have 5hought your casual question would elicit somany comments, Brad.
Brad, what a job you’ve taken on. But you always do a great job. The landlord is probably absentee, because he should have had this property checked from time to time. It’s their investment. Thanks for the video. 👍👍😊😎❤️
Nice job Brad. Pretty sad how tenants leaves their rental places trashed, hopefully the owner got to keep the deposit to make up for the cleaning and possibly repairs to be done. 👍👍👍👍👍😉🇺🇸
Good morning, Brad. I used to work for a friend's maintenance company. We did clean-ups, lawn care, landscaping and his other business was refinishing hardwood floors. I worked in all aspects of his businesses. I can't understand for the life of me, how people let their properties get like this not only on the outside, but the inside also! HOW and WHY would you want to live like that!? It's not an income thing because A LOT of the customers were wealthy business owners! I just don't get it. Well, enough blabbing. Have a great weekend! By the way, the yard looks awesome! ANOTHER fine job by Brad at Copper Creek Cuts!
this is one of the main reasons why I got rid if both of my rental properties. people move in and trash the place, don't pay the rent, then you have to kick them out and you are left with alot of clean up and fix up after they are gone. they just hop from one place to the next untell they are kicked out of that place then on to the next. hate to say it but some people are just plain trashy and lazy and don't care about the way they live. I know I could not live the way some people do. alot of the time the inside is just as bad if not worse than the outside.
Sure that was a rental property, looked more like a storage dump . Great job on the clean up. That definitely would make you worry what else is on the property after finding all those bullets.
I didn't find the CV shaft until after I think, and he said the cages wouldn't be worth anything. Wrong type of metal or too rusted maybe? I didn't press him on why.
The tenants should be ashamed of themselves and should be somehow held accountable for the condition in which they left this property. Maybe the landlord kept their security deposit if there was one. You worked hard on this job while transforming this property back to being civilized!
Wonder if they swept contents of house into the yard? Hate to see inside...yard certainly alot better but I feel the next tenants wont be any better somehow! 😭😭 Hope you were well rewarded for that clean up. You deserved every cent!
That's what happened to my dad's friend he burned trash pile didn't know bullets where in there and one went off. We use to junk cars and we found a box of ammo.
Have been thinking about some of your comments. I think anyone tackling an overwhelmed place at this point earns honor. It is far from the groomed or overgrown places you normally do but in these years, a yard could have these problems from a hurricane, a tornado, a flood, and even things as lousy housemates, collapse from illness, job loss, death or the devastation of addictive drugs. So, many thanks for what you got cleaned-up and sorry some of it was outright hazardous. Still, this is an example for, "How do you clean an unusually messy yard?" and helpful to anyone finding one in need in their lives. Knowing your work standard, I'm already looking forward to a neat and clean final result. A good start for the next tenant. (I was eyeing the table you cut up but it had a fair amount of severe damage. Only a person with skills of Furniture Restoration could have tackled that, if they considered it overall worth the time. Cutting it up did make it easier to cart away.) Nice recovery and restart.
I like videos like this. I find them soothing. On another note, do you get concerned if you’re making passes up and down a lawn and the grass clippings are thrown onto the neighbors yard in some instances such as this when you’re on the standup? Do people say anything to you normally? I guess you can’t help it sometimes but is it something you try to avoid?
You hit the nail on the head. I try to avoid it when I can, but lots of houses are so close it just isn't physically possible to keep all the grass off another person's lawn.
I'm with Cory.......what the heck does the inside look like based on what the outside looked like? I am trying to figure out how people can tear up a chain link fence so badly, and why? You made it look tons better, but it still has the fugly factor going for it. Great job.
Great job on this one! Thanks for recycling that metal btw. No sense in letting it rot in the ground. Kinda goes without saying, but you shouldn't fire off those rounds. Not exactly sure how to dispose of live ammo but I believe the local police station would accept and safety dispose of it.
So, this is gonna sound weird, but I follow a lot of landscape pros and except for those two Asian guys doing amazing jobs with basic tools, you must be the only one with a proper rake and shovel ?! Gotta say that was really satisfying lol I was raised by a dad who was very strict about tools and using them. Heck, he thought me to drive a mower and then heavy machinery before I had a licence for a car. ( He had his own company) sooooo all this to say, he had this saying that I'll loosely translate " if you use the wrong tools like a moron, you'll get hurt like a moron. " And heck, I believe he's right 😂😂
As a landlord, renters can be so rude and selfish regarding property they are just lucky enough to be borrowing. I have never understood the thoughtlessness of some lowlifes. Thankfully, they are not the norm. You did a good thing. This is why I charge a huge deposit.
I've seen overgrown yards due to elderly, disability, illness and injury. There is absolutely no excuse for garbage, especially like that. That was disgusting. Anyone who has anything negative to say about your work needs to get their own selves in check. You did an excellent job of cleaning out that mess. I can't believe you did it in only 4 hours! You've earned a serious treat after that one...right after a serious shower.
It's always easy to be judgemental. Everyone's fighting a battle you don't have any idea of. Maybe the last tenants were just careless or maybe they had problems bigger than you can even imagine. But I guess it's easier to sit on a high horse and point fingers. But yes, Brad did a great job and earned his money.
Brad with you finding that gun ammunition, it makes me wonder if the tenants of that house were involved in illegal activities. With them burning a computer, gun ammunition & other things, it smells really fishy to me. What were they trying to hide that they didn't want others to find out about??? Possible crime scene??? If the yard looked that disgusting, I can only imagine what the inside of that house looked like. Hopefully the inside of the house wasn't damaged, or that disgusting, but we can only hope for the best. Those tenants who were living in that house sure don't care about anyone else's property. If that house would have belong to those tenants, it would probably be condemned within a short period of time if they would have owned that house. I sure feel sorry for the homeowners who have to deal with the repairs that will be needed to fix up that yard & house. I would really suggest that if ANYONE is a landlord & they're looking at renting out properties, to do a google search on the possible tenants & see what comes up on the internet about them. By doing a internet search on people before renting something out to someone, it can save a whole lot of headaches & money, by eliminating the bad apples from the list of possible tenants for their properties. Brad you did a fantabulous job of cleaning up that very disgusting yard. 🙂 ❤
It is hard NOT to judge especially, especially rental property!!! Just don't get how people can just trash someone's else's house!!! Why would yah NOT want your deposit back!!! Anyways, awesome work my friend!!! I throughly enjoy your videos!!! Stay safe!!! Xoxox for the family!!! && Happy Turkey Day!!!
I thought about protesting the death-by-chainsaw of the coffee table, until I remembered that that thing had been sitting outside for God only knows how long, and was likely rotted to hell and back. The way it started to shake itself to pieces from the vibrations of the first cut said it all: *not structurally sound.* And with all that varnish on it, you'd have to completely strip the pieces before you could even use them for firewood. Damn shame, but not your bad, man~
I think I covered in the video, if the work was for the residents I wouldn't take it, but the owners of the rental property have done business with me multiple times before, I don't have any trust issues with them.
Just came back to this video. I appreciate the whole "don't judge people by the way they live" part. As someone who suffers from depression and can have a hard time maintaining my property, I found that a very respectful and mature way to address the situation. Thank you!

It will be someone else's problem beyond the deposit they lose.
Thank you for the comments, very good thoughts and points.
Very Good JOB
Thank you!
hey men no usas cubre bocas con tanta contaminacion
Thank you for the well thought out comment, I really appreciate it!
Thank you for the kind words and for watching!
Damn shame, but not your bad, man~
Haha, thank you for the pass!
I wouldn’t even want to do business for people like this. I wouldn’t trust them to pay or not screw me over somehow.
I think I covered in the video, if the work was for the residents I wouldn't take it, but the owners of the rental property have done business with me multiple times before, I don't have any trust issues with them.
Almost looks like my 223 rounds
I'll have to take your word for it!
Man that's too bad, you're doing the garbage man job not gardener.
LOL Too funny!
Seen way worse on every block in detroit
I believe you!
They had garbage service so no excuse for throwing junk in the yard. I can understand someone not able to mow for whatever reason, but that is trash.
I tend to agree!
U should wear a mask for dusty areas. Just saying.
Disgusting! I’d be burning all my clothing, including the gloves and shoes.
Haha, bill a new uniform to the client! :D
Nice video. Looks like a crack house clean up.
