I am gonna tell my story I went to an academy to get certified as a lash tec , i did pay 1200$ for a total of 18 hrs training “ days “ , including 2 tweezers , glue and 2 trays of lashes , And let me tell you that what i have learned on RUclips is much much valuable that the tec taught me Excuse my english And i had to practice alone at home on a fake lashes strips I regretted taking that course Now i am a lash tec for almost 3 years and practice is what makes things perfect Thank you Keep sharing your tips and tricks and spreading lash love ❤️❤️🙏🏻🙏🏻
I'm sorry I didn't see your reply sooner. And I've heard so many stories like this before. Too many times people learn lashes, and then a few months later wanna train other people because they see the money in it. I wish there was a way to shit those types of people down... But I appreciate you sharing... How is your business doing today?
I am at the end of my training with Amazing Lash Studio. I didn’t expect it to be hard to learn. I’ve done about 12 models so far and feel more and more confident as the days go on. I’m so glad I stuck it through. I’m nervous to start seeing guests starting Sunday because I will be booked back to back my entire shift.
I think a lot of us feel this way in the beginning... Would you mind emailing me? I'd love to chat and learn more about how things are going for you... Info@thelashceo.com
I’ve worked at Amazing Lash Studio for three years and initially got my training there. I love it! Hang in there, you will get better over time. The good thing about working there is you’ll always be busy and get to perfect your craft on a variety of people.
I just qualified as a lash tech and I’m so excited to learn more dueto covid it’s been hard to practice on life models but I remain hopeful thank you so much for your advice it means a lot ☺️
You're so welcome...and WELCOME to the industry...it's rewarding on many levels. I'm building a brand outside of The Lash CEO at 🧲www.beautyclientmagnet.com🧲 if you wanna check that out to help attract more clients to your business👍🏾Or questions just ask🙋🏾♀️
Very good advice to incoming technicians. I love the way you stressed the point on continuous learning...this is the only way one will become successful in the business. You did a wonderful good on this video and I wish you nothing but success.
You have been super helpful! I recently got certified a month ago and I've been doing lashes part time in an esthetic studio and I LOVE it. I'm slowly building my kit so you thank you for listing everything in the description 💜
This video is extremely helpful. I took a lash class over 5 years ago and didn't have a supportive community. I've been so encouraged to try again! I'm going to take a class soon!
Thank you so much for this info... What adhesive do you suggest for beginners? I'm now doing some glue research and looking for a glue to start with. I've done my course and I'm sooooo ready to get that practice in.
The tweezers I have been looking for, for so long !! but I don’t want to order online what wall in stores will sell them ? Please help thanks for a great video ❤️❤️❤️💕❤️
LoyaltyPranks Hey! So I've never found any tweezers in a local store before...always had to order online. I love my tweezers available from TheCuratedLash.com so wonderful for isolation and pickup 👍🏽
We all start off nervous😄 But try to lash either a mannequin or a live model several times a week. The act of lashing is a skill that builds... The more you do it the more confident you become, the better you skill gets💗
Exactly, this is why I've been practicing everyday since Sunday. I plan to become a awesome lash artist. I am very passionate about this and I love it. Do you have an Instagram, I would like to message you.
Everyone in my are are only offering 1 or 2 day classes $400-$600 for basic. I am not a really girly girl but I really want to learn to install lashes and I don't think 2 days will cut it.
You know what in most cases it really isn't enough time to really learn. I would seek out more national lash brands and check them out, and A LOT of them are offering online courses now because of the lockdown. Frankie Widows, Borbeleta, Lash Affair by J. Paris, Sugar Lash they all have very strong curriculums and have been in the lash game for a good amount of time. If you have other questions for me let me know. Wishing all the Success💗
val Reallife thank you for watching, humidity depends on what adhesive you use. Most will need to stay in the range of 40-55% humidity range. While some adhesives like my BruVel brand are not so humidity sensitive. You can find it here www.thecuratedlash.com
The names of the lash glues in this video, the ring light you talked about, spoolies, basically just need the links (if possible) or where to buy what you mentioned in the video. Thanks
I live in Texas, I see that you say to use thermo pro, but not sure what the temperature should be for this area, it gets really hot down here in the summer?
tionne williams-terry hey there thanks for watching. So usually temperatures should be kept between 68-74ish...really depends on the adhesive you are using. My BruVel line of adhesives are not so temperature and humidity sensitive. (www.thecuratedlash.com) But if you use a brand that recommends a particular temp and humidity a hygrometer is a great little tool to have.
Hi there, thank you so much for the video, I have just started lash classes part time, I wanna practise at home just not on a person yet, what would you recommend..
Hey welcome to the industry! And thanks for watching. I would start with practice strips, and a mannequin. This will help you get your groove with handling to tweezers in both hands. Wishing you so much success on your journey.
Hey Gabriela, thanks for watching and for your question. I offer a lash extensions class for those who have their esthetician, medical or cosmetology license already. If you have questions send me an email info@thelashceo.com
Thak you for this video. I just wanted to make a suggestion if you don't mind. For the next time it would be even better if you decide to make a video in a silent room as it would be easier to listen and follow the whole speech with no difficulty especially for someone who doesn't speack English as a first language 😊
The Lash & Brow CEO your welcome! How and where do i get consent forms when starting a lash buisness? Do you think starting as a mobil lash tech would be a great way to build clientele?
My favorite because I searched and searched for them are Cloud Lashes...they have every feature I desired. Easy to apply, matte in color, flat shape, and split tips for a fluffier classic full set look. You can see them here, www.TheCuratedLash.com and check my IG for lash sets I do with them, @the.lash.ceo 💎💎💎💎
Great question, when I first got started I used a massage table for a few years, and then switched to a hydraulic tattoo bed. With the tattoo bed you can elevate their head, and legs if you want. There's even massage beds that do that as well. Hope that helps
Hi from Canada! Great video! I am wondering how many lash strips you recommend getting. I am having a hard time figuring out how many clients one tray would last for example?
Carolina Moraes Hello from Virginia!! So a full tray of mixed lashes would maybe last about 5-8 full sets. It really depends on each clients natural lashes also. But that's an estimate... Hope that helps. Thank you for watching👍🏾
sarah mendes If you live in TX or Minnesota you have to go through the state licensing board. Other states there isn't a set in stone guideline, but I like to push the idea of nailing ypur craft and understanding that training others is a big responsibility. Be sure you love to teach and instruct others and have the patience for a learning mind. If you have become the best you can be and teaching is in your future than go for It! Wishing you much success and Love💗💋
What curved volume tweezers do you recommend? This is my struggle right now. No other tweezers are doing it for me. The ones I'm using are not for volume but for classic placement. I am able to make 2 and 3d fans, if I had a tweezers actually for volume I would blossom.
Karli Cato I hear ya Karli...I've struggled with finding another curved tweezer that I love. I found one before (that I still use, but will need replacing soon) but haven't found it again😒😣 So I'm in the process of testing my own, and they should be available this week!🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽 Once they arrive I'll be doing some artist sponsor spots and will need other stylists to test them and post about them...Interested? Email me, info@thelashceo.com 👍🏾
Could you please tell where you got the lash bed & stool & the goddess arena?? I can not find them anywhere... Sooo overwhelm yet passionate with Eyelash extensions at this point.. I'm currently in Memphis, TN & there are NO GOOD LASH TECHS here... Any advice on what a 20 yr that's in college should do at this point? Btw Great Video - Xoxo
I actually don't offer bottom lashes. I find most clients eyes move too much when trying to get to the bottom lashes. And from what I've seen they tend to last not as long. Have you asked your lash trainer...she may have some great tips!
All man... 😣 Well can you make a video explaining the difference between Volume lashes, cluster lashes & fan volume lashes. Also I'm signed up with a Lash tech but she's knows nothing of what I'm asking.. Should I consider training with someone else?? Dont mean to ask so many questions your videos are just a huge help that's all.. ❤
Nre Yolanda Yeah...If who you are wanting to train with doesn't know the difference between the lash types....to be honest...she really has no clue. 🤦🏽♀️
Hello, I have a question I’m having problems with applying the eyelash I’m applying it to low. I am certified, I just need a little extra help. Hoping you can help me thank you!
The Lash & Brow CEO Like once i finish applying them and take the tape off all the eyelashes come off with the tape.. I’m having a problem eyeing where to put the eyelashes.
Oh...ok so you may have to slightly lift their eyelid a little so that their lashes are not resting on the pads. Not enough to open their eyes but enough that they are not sticking to the eye pads. Annnd....you might need magnifier or loupes so you can see up close better
what will you recommend for someone who has been doing lashes fpr almost 8 years for a company and train by that company but now whats to part her own way
M. Rojas Great question! If there isn't a non compete I say start pushing your own agenda with a website, and then building a social media presence. Use some of your beautiful before and afters in your profiles and step out in confidence. Take your time as you need to but, give yourself a time limit if you're serious about going it out on your own. Good Luck🍀 and if you remember please keep me updated on how it is going!
Hi any recommendations for lashes classes in Virginia USA I’m little confused as there r so many company and courses there I’m not interested online classes plz help me
Depending on where you call home, there are several I recommend. If you're in the south, I suggest, Maven Artistry, and LashMasters. If you're in the Jersey area...Sandra of Lash411 is wonderful...and if you're on the West Coast, there are several! If you're needing a particular area email me: info@thelashceo.com
BLACKSHAMPU Well if you were given a proper lash training under tour Cosmo license, then you should be good. But if not I would seek out training. Not to mention there's always more to learn👍
I love the goddess arena tool, but I personally just put the whole band of lashes on my clients forehead lol. Doesn’t seem to bother them and I keep the glue right by their head.
MuÑeka Rodriguez I typically travel for lash training for a class of 4 students. This way I keep the class small. The host usually gets a special price for hosting. Or if you ever make down to Virginia Beach, I offer training in my new larger location beginning in May, would love to meet you💓
Hey there, goodness I didn't see your comment slip in. Did you find a good lash brand to train with close to you? I apologize, let me know how things are going for you now.
Do you believe that clients feel just as safe if you are certified from just a lash extension company, or do clients prefer you to get licensed at beauty school?
Ximena Figueroa you know wat... I think clients feel good as long as you are legal according to what your state or city requires. Because it comes down to that, and how good you are. Because if you are committed to your craft you will seek great training and become better. Or if you do it for the wrong reasons...ie only the money clients will know. Find out how to stay in the clear with your state, and then seek out a strong training brand or trainer. Wishing you the best!
The Lash & Brow CEO I'm definitely looking into my state's requirements to make myself a legitimate lash tech. I've just started doing lash extensions and your knowledge and experience helps so much! Thank you!
Hey Kush, let me know which products you're trying. This video was uploaded awhile back. I can give you any updated information or links. Just let me know
Ahli Fox Hey thanks for ypur question and for watching. I love my Cloud Lashes from www.TheCuratedLash.com they're truly exactly what I love in a lash type. Use code: 2018CEO for $3 off your purchase if you wanna try a tray.🙌🏽
Question, do you recommend with the curve tweezers to be slim and skinny tip!? To help with isolation or do you recommend using a straight tip for tweezer to use for isolation!?
GorJess Face Great question...personally I like A long skinny curve for isolation...and another curved tip for pickup...I found straight tweezers hard to do either with
Hmm, I’m in the process of purchasing new tweezer. I’m glad I asked because I do notice that with the straight it can be a bit difficult for me. Thanks so much for answering my question
Julie Rivera Thanks for watching! So in my notes I put the service they had, how they found me, any other key notes about them. The Lash design and sizes, and how they paid. Hope that helps. I'd love to switch to a digital system once I move to my larger space though. Right now I use a journal and their intake form for notes. Hope that helps
Ki'Niya Victoria So the term Mink only refers to actual mink animal fur lashes. I do not use or recommend mink lashes for several reasons. They're usually not humanely sourced, and they do not hold their curl, and they're expensive. Many lash products now mimic the look, and feel of mink so I always use will or not fiber lashes. Preferably Cloud Lashes from TheCuratedLash.com😉
I would think it would depend on where you want to do business. If they have age requirements... But honestly I would start no matter your age right now. Learn what you can, learn the lash business, and then decide what you want your business to be. It can literally be ANYTHING you want it to be!
I am gonna tell my story
I went to an academy to get certified as a lash tec , i did pay 1200$ for a total of 18 hrs training “ days “ , including 2 tweezers , glue and 2 trays of lashes ,
And let me tell you that what i have learned on RUclips is much much valuable that the tec taught me
Excuse my english
And i had to practice alone at home on a fake lashes strips
I regretted taking that course
Now i am a lash tec for almost 3 years and practice is what makes things perfect
Thank you
Keep sharing your tips and tricks and spreading lash love ❤️❤️🙏🏻🙏🏻

Hi, where did you purchase your tweezers?
Kiara Flower actually they're my brand...I'll be adding them to TheCuratedLash.com next week🙋🏾♂️👍🏾😍
Hello, I have a question I’m having problems with applying the eyelash I’m applying it to low. I am certified, I just need a little extra help. Hoping you can help me thank you!
Shanny Foote when you say too low can you explain more?
The Lash & Brow CEO Like once i finish applying them and take the tape off all the eyelashes come off with the tape.. I’m having a problem eyeing where to put the eyelashes.
Oh...ok so you may have to slightly lift their eyelid a little so that their lashes are not resting on the pads. Not enough to open their eyes but enough that they are not sticking to the eye pads. Annnd....you might need magnifier or loupes so you can see up close better
The Lash & Brow CEO thank you! So is there a specific place I should be looking for when i apply it so they all can be even?
Think of placing each extension about a times thickness away from their lid
Question..do you recommend the lash extension training kit that includes the mannequin head?? IF SO what brand??...I heard that it's not worth it??
what will you recommend for someone who has been doing lashes fpr almost 8 years for a company and train by that company but now whats to part her own way
The Lash & Brow CEO of course ill keep you updated. Thank you so much
Hi any recommendations for lashes classes in Virginia USA I’m little confused as there r so many company and courses there I’m not interested online classes plz help me
What company would you recommend for lash training ?
Depending on where you call home, there are several I recommend. If you're in the south, I suggest, Maven Artistry, and LashMasters. If you're in the Jersey area...Sandra of Lash411 is wonderful...and if you're on the West Coast, there are several! If you're needing a particular area email me: info@thelashceo.com
What liquid do you use to clean your tweezers with?
Phylicia Knowles I use a hospital grade disinfectant I found on Amazon 👍🏽
Hello Lash Ceo..What if you have a cosmetology license already and are covered to do lashes? Do you still recommend the training?
BLACKSHAMPU Well if you were given a proper lash training under tour Cosmo license, then you should be good. But if not I would seek out training. Not to mention there's always more to learn👍
The Lash & Brow CEO Thank you so much.
Do you have a link for the forehead strip that holds that lashes & adhesive ?
Patrice Hilton You can Google Goddess Arena Tool...she's based in Canada👍🏽
I love the goddess arena tool, but I personally just put the whole band of lashes on my clients forehead lol. Doesn’t seem to bother them and I keep the glue right by their head.
Mitzi Rich where did you find the goddess tool from?
Id like to be trained by u but I live in Wisconsin do u travel? The nearest place close to me is Chicago Illinois and how much do u charge?
Thank you!
what brand/type of bed do you recommend?
Amanda Black I started with a massage bed...and now use a facial bed. Either one is great for lash and brow services 👍🏽
thank you, you have great tips
So how do you use the cherry scented alcohol on the clients eyes without it burning?
Ariana Humphrey I use it for my hands...or when I'm wiping clients brow makeup off.
Gotcha! Thank you!
Great info
the links aren't working am i the only one experiencing this?
Hey Kush, let me know which products you're trying. This video was uploaded awhile back. I can give you any updated information or links. Just let me know
What are you using the lip gloss applicators for?
Shauna Cumming I use them to clean the lashes, and apply adhesive accelerator.
@@RickinaE thank you! Also, what is your concoction for cleaning the lashes? You said you make your own?
Yeah so I use baby shampoo, baking soda, and witch hazel. I think I did a video here about it.
@@RickinaE you are great for answering me. I'll take a look for it thank you!
Where is te video for make own shampoo lashes ???
paoxx 06 Thanks for asking...You should be able to find it on my page. It's there under my video a library 😍
Thank you
What is the product you place on your forehead called
Terriona Peete Yeah, so it's the Goddess Arena Tool..if you Google it, should come right up. She's in Canada👍
What supplier do you use for your lashes
Ahli Fox Hey thanks for ypur question and for watching. I love my Cloud Lashes from www.TheCuratedLash.com they're truly exactly what I love in a lash type. Use code: 2018CEO for $3 off your purchase if you wanna try a tray.🙌🏽
The lash cleanser you made..do you use that before or after lashing?
Great question! I use it before...buuut I have seen some stylists using shampoo after!
What was the curl on the lashes you held up from eye lash addict.
Charlene Purnell hey there! CC curl..my fave from them
Question, do you recommend with the curve tweezers to be slim and skinny tip!? To help with isolation or do you recommend using a straight tip for tweezer to use for isolation!?
GorJess Face Great question...personally I like A long skinny curve for isolation...and another curved tip for pickup...I found straight tweezers hard to do either with
Hmm, I’m in the process of purchasing new tweezer. I’m glad I asked because I do notice that with the straight it can be a bit difficult for me. Thanks so much for answering my question
What do you write in your client notes?
Julie Rivera Thanks for watching! So in my notes I put the service they had, how they found me, any other key notes about them. The Lash design and sizes, and how they paid. Hope that helps. I'd love to switch to a digital system once I move to my larger space though. Right now I use a journal and their intake form for notes. Hope that helps
are the lashes recommended mink lashes ?
Ki'Niya Victoria So the term Mink only refers to actual mink animal fur lashes. I do not use or recommend mink lashes for several reasons. They're usually not humanely sourced, and they do not hold their curl, and they're expensive. Many lash products now mimic the look, and feel of mink so I always use will or not fiber lashes. Preferably Cloud Lashes from TheCuratedLash.com😉
The Lash & Brow CEO oh ok thanks, but do the lashes you use fell fake ? Do you they still give off the same look and feel as mink lashes ?
Are you still doing lashes?
Absolutely! I specialize in lashes and brows🥰
Thank you I am a beginner and I appreciate your videos thank you
@@shunwilliams6180 I appreciate you for watching, and welcome to the industry 🤩
Do you need to be 18 to start a lash business?
I would think it would depend on where you want to do business. If they have age requirements... But honestly I would start no matter your age right now. Learn what you can, learn the lash business, and then decide what you want your business to be. It can literally be ANYTHING you want it to be!
