Hey Arron, thanks for the note. I am now able to connect the cube successfully. However, the virtual cube on the cstimer doesn't respond when I turn my GAN 356i. Is there any key setting I need to adjust for the cube to respond appropriately. I tried playing around with no luck. Maybe my Bluetooth connection is too weak? Apologies for all the questions but would to get this working on cstimer. Thanks again!
@@MANversusGRAVITY The gan that works for me is an early release that i got from a friend in china. When i got my second cube from thecubicle i tried to connect to cstimer and experienced the same issue as you're describing. Seems to be an unreported bug with the US released puzzle. I'd file an issue here github.com/cs0x7f/cstimer/issues but i no longer have the cube to give him better details
You shouldn't buy a first gen product.And also noticed some delay on the phone which is due to Bluetooth.I think Bluetooth 5.0 eill be faster.Hopefully it will get updated in the future
QuinnD it’s a big difference if lube gets in touch with the yellow side while breaking it in or putting a drop right onto the contact points! That’s not recommend by Gan and it’s pretty logical

Hey, i want to buy a smart cube, but i dont know which one. Im currently debating bitween the GAN 356 i v2, GAN 356 i carry, and RUBIKS connected. Do you have any suggestions?
That's the problem. It's not necessary. For example, the Gani anyone can start when they want. Since they are both timed independently it just compares them at the end.
Right now I'm using the CFOP alg. I'm not fast at it, but under 2 min. To get faster and learn other alg, which one could U recommand? I have thinked about the Gocube.. But which one would U prefer?
get the GAN, it tracks better in hardware and I bet it'll have the bigger player base. Software needs a lot of work but decent for training. It's worthwhile waiting to see if the software updates improve things and if the player base grows, but if you had to pick one now I'd go GAN. It's a bit crunchy and catchy but doesn't slow me down and gives me useful information to know where to focus on my solves. Right now it takes too long to find an opponent but I hope that changes. I got it for training though and It works great for that, although you could just record videos and break down your solves that way.

They are very different puzzles. They feel similar in size and the way the pieces are shaped but when turning the Bluetooth one is a bit less flexible because of the ball core

Speed is able to be altered on any cube with tensions or lube (or wiping lube out). I don't think speed is ever a concern with a single puzzle on the market.

My friend has it and I've tested it and it was faster when dry than with my lube. I'm using biosilk and it goes pretty well with cubes but if you're not solving or not cleaning puzzles it left white residue which isn't even that hard to remove. It just requires only a bit more force applied to a tissue. It speeds up my GTS3 pretty well but gan x became even slower. Probably lube that was in the honeycomb design was not moving at all and got a bit sticky. the bright side of biosilk is that it doesn't become as sticky as glue like that thing that you experimented with. It's just start to slow down the cube a bit. So I was wandering if the gan i would be enough fast for me when dry beacause of that inner design bio silk might slow it down instead of speeding up
Weight and size are pretty the same but the i feels lighter. That’s because the biggest part of the weight is in the core and the pieces are made of a different lighter plastic. Feels a bit weird at the beginning

I really want to pick up the 365i but I'm afraid it will be like every other gan puzzle I bought... a waste of money X-D Seriously though I have never liked the feel of gans cubes. Also $70-$100 depending on where you buy it, is not something I feel like wasting. I will wait for a gen 2 or moyu to make one that is hopefully better and maybe a bit cheaper.

The release of the 356i Play really changes this line-up. It's just a much more reliable cube than the original 356i. Also Gan has updated their app like a hundred times since this video and it doesn't even look the same. The mentioned notches in the 356i center caps are for the Gan Robot.
I'm not a fan of the 356i. The cube isn't really any more reliable and the only major difference is the lack of Gyro which I feel is essential. The app at the moment is still not connecting all of the time. I plan to do an updated version of this video when the summer hits allowing for all three cubes to be as updated as possible about a year after the major releases.

I actually returned three different 356i cubes, and was about to return my second Gan Robot when I tried the 356i Play and EVERYTHING (bluetooth, the app, the Robot) works soooo much better. I highly suspect the gyro to be the problem. It never worked accurately in any of my three 356i cubes. The app was always reporting the cube as unsolved when it wasn't, solved when it wasn't, upside down or otherwise oriented differently than it was...it was just bad. Half the time, I couldn't even get the cube to turn on and connect. These almost all gyro issues. Regardless, I'm pretty disappointed in Gan that two of their highest price/tech cubes have their most primitive GES nuts (basically open springs with a plastic cap that has two tension settings). I'm probably going to give the GoCube a try. Of the four smartcubes, it seems to be the most refined.
I wouldn't advised people to really push the GAN into the dock, you should put a note on your video as this could damage the dock to the point you would require more force or have trouble with it working at all. Mine only needs to be lightly placed and on android I have no issues with it connecting or disconnecting. Connecting and disconnecting issues would be unrelated to charging but a charging indicator light would of been nice. Inspect your charging pins they should be springy and equivilent to each other maybe you need a replacement unit. Also don't lube from yellow side or the charging contacts might get dirty.
I just got my gan 356 I v1 today and it is charging so I did not get to try the app but the cube it self I love it and do you think the magnets in that are a little weak or not
On the GIIKER cube the analysis is accurate it’s because it shows for beginners method so then you have to skip the ones with blank times and when the next time comes that’s how long it took to do that step and everything behind it with blanks
You missed the giiker DOES have a given scramble in the top right corner of the timer u have the option to turn on scramble ON or OFF, then u will be able to follow a scramble that the the giiker will choose. And u didn't show giiker charger. The head phones that go over the cube is way better then the other 2 chargers.
I have an 11yr old son who would like one for Xmas. He has no experience. I’m thinking the GoCube as it seems to have most support for newbies. Is that true in your opinion? I want something that’s easy to learn from and supportive. Can you give me your current opinion? Thanks so much!!
About the charging on the gancube, you dont really need to push it down that hard. If you just push it a bit and then you grip the cube and if the charger holds onto it, then its charging

The app is nice Andy the stickers are just as good as most other cubes. It's not as commonly used now compared to the others. Check out the newer comparison of Bluetooth puzzles I released earlier this year.

What color stickers did you use on the Giiker? I like your theme, but there are too many colors to choose from at the speed cube shop, so I can't figure out which ones to buy to get the same set up as you.
Once the Gan app is fully running. Take what I say about the GoCube and just swap out a cubic shape with stickers. It's the same app as GoCube for the Rubik's a connected.

The Giiker i3s does not have clicky magnets. Also you had scrambles turned off (top right icon) when you did the standard solve on the Giiker.
But it's really clicky, if it isn't the magnets it's the sensors.

There are websites you can connect your GoCube to that can drill OLL and pll algs. I have a video on that using the giiker cube.

The app or Cubeast? When opening it up it will show up. The Gani has the worst history of failing to connect.

Once the Gan app is fully running. Take what I say about the GoCube and just swap out a cubic shape with stickers. It's the same app as GoCube for the Rubik's a connected.
