I would like to buy the gocube. I like the app, it seems like there are less issues with the gocube than with the gan 356i, it looks nice, it has a stand which makes it also possible to hold the phone etc.... But most important: I would like to learn Cfop through the app, is this possible with any of the smart cubes?
I think the games are cool because its something unique and interesting, but youre definitely right about the timing and battling someone having to be available just as you open the app
Totally agree. As long as mains features are present and well made, I don't see what's the point of criticizing extra features. So much companies are just doing the minimum and even less for full price, so for one time that a companie offer more than expected I think that should be encouraged.
If you’re getting slower times with the GO Cube, then I’d happily take it. Lol But in all seriousness, I’m glad your back!! I clicked your video so fast when you first used the GO Cube!
So, not a good teaching tool for beginners? I can solve the cube, but it takes me about 2 minutes. I’m an old guy who can afford one, but only want one if it will help with learning things like F2L. Thank you. Good job comparing the three. 👍👍
The only thing I'm going to mention is is that about the amount of people in the battling feature in which the giiker supercube has an advantage because its been out longer(thus more people have had a chance to buy it). But overall great video!
Have you heard about the skewby copter plus? If so you should get it. There's barely any videos about it on RUclips, so it deserves more attention. The price is 44 dollars on The Cubicle.
Some people get more enjoyment from certain methods than just going for speed. People who have been doing this for 20+ years probably don't want to switch up their methods and they've probably come to terms with the fact that they aren't competing to be world-class
I know, but he seems more like a speed cuber, so if he wants to go for speed, then he should switch. Also, the people I know that have been able to solve it for 20+ years, only really use a Rubik’s cube. In fact, most people I know that have known it for over 20 years, (the cube, I lose sense in long messages) don’t even want to know how to solve it, and they just like to mess around with it.
While the Cube Station app was shitty at the beginning, it’s been very much improved and has been scraped out of many of the flaws it had early on. Such as the English translation, battery percentage, unwanted disconnecting, etc.
Wait another upload in a month wow I don’t think I’m watching redkb jk but good vid, also thanks for teaching me how to solve a 3x3, that was 2 years ago now I know full cfop and average 10-11 seconds so thank u again also really like your 1x1 vid :)
Games are pretty good for people new to cubes, a great way to learn how things go intuitively and practice your movement without the pressure of an opponent or a timed random solve. For those that already understand how the algorithms work and know that if they do a set move this coloured square will move from x to y they are pretty much unnecessary unless you want something a little different to do. As for the gocube app im pretty sure its meant to be a boxing glove ;) though I do think having it as a clear button, say in place of the "cubestumes" where easy to reach with your thumb at start would be better (though having the 2 options central actually works better than having them at the top as they are much easier to reach with a thumb while holding the phone in one hand and cube in other if for example on the move) though once you get used to them having the matches on the permanent bar will probably still be most used.
The part where you are talking about the go cube and the app, if you look at the trailer, the GoCube was created mostly targeting new cubers and people who already know how to solve the cube and get better. For new cubers, it teaches them how to solve the cube and get comfortable with it using the games. For people who already know how to solve it, the games are there to get them more comfortable with the cube and solving it faster. Finally, for pro cubers, the app is there just to give them more practice and more variation.
I had a rubik's brand cube for like 3 years lying in my room but one day I saw my friend solve ma cube and I was like 'awww ma gahh how the fuk did u dooo dat 😱😱😱' and he was like ' pffft its nothin'. So the next day I found my rubik's cube and fiddled around with it. Then I saw j perms video on beginners method and learnt to solve 2 layers. When 8 got to yellow Cross I messed up and I just gave up on cubing for 2 weeks. After 2 weeks I decided why not try it one last time and you know what... I MESSED UP AGAIN. So I tried once more and I actually solved it. I started solving it more often then after a week of continuous solving I bought a qiyi warrior w. YEP THAT'S MY STORY
Glad to see you again. I'll say, I do like the comparison between all the 'Smart Cubes' and how their quality differs from one another. Question: How hard is a 2x2x3 for you? 2x2x4? 2x3x3? Else?
The Reason the Gan cube adds extra Scrambles, is becaseu when you turn a wrong move, it gives you extra moves so that the cube will return to the original scramble.
Hey @RedKB was hoping you could answer this for me. I am a cubing beginner. I can do the 3 layer method in about 1 - 2 minutes? and I am currently working on F2L. I find myself just randomly trying stuff to get F2L to work and sometimes I get it, and sometimes I am like??? HEY? how did that red piece get solved, but I don't really know exactly what or how I did it. I tried to look at some Tutorials online and they always have cases like, Case1 do this, case 4 do that? etc... but figuring out what case I have and how to do it is a pain. I was really hoping to get a smart cube and it teach me F2L, like for example: I do the cross, then its like, ok doofus, do this for F2L part 1, and it just shows me or teaches me. Do you think the Gan or the smart cube can do that and will help me?? currently running a 10 dollar speed cube and I am not sure I care about battles or PB's yet since I am on baby steps of cubing. Which smart cube will help me with CFOP or F2L or etc? Thanks!
Cool video as always, i have the last giiker and i really liked it, just some problems with connection, which im sure wasn't my internet, and i lost the battle and the coins because of that, but besides that it is really cool to play with. I don't know if you did this before, but i would like to see a tutorial of yours corner first way to solve. Anyways big fan.
I'm curious if that scrambler from the GAN is just re-calculating the scramble from your current state when you make a mistake. You should try doing the scramble twice but once following it correctly and once without
@@redkb Yeah, I was trying to think of a way around that. Can you go back to attempt the same scramble? Could try doing it again with wrong turns to see if it course corrects
@@redkb I got one the other day and decided to scramble two cubes at the same time, then before the last move, I did some random turns then followed the scramble. Gave me the same scramble state so I think it's safe to say that it course corrects!

Is it possible to mix and match the apps? Could you use the GO Cube on the GiiKER app and the GiiKER on the Gan app and the Gan on the GO Cube app? Or just some other combination?
Love your videos. Would you answer a question for me please? I bought the 356i Play for the Algorithm Training part of the App. On your version, could you go into the app in: Personal Training -> Algorithm Training -> Practice CFOP -> F2L -> OK -> Select Alg, then pick (31): U R U’ R’, then OK and see if what you see makes sense. I cannot get the Apps picture to match what a solved cube can permute to. I'd like to know if it is just me being dumb or an issue with the App. Many thanks if you have the time for this.
I'm curious more how the recording works. If I were to bring this to a comp, can it be set up to record internally or do I need to have my phone connected to it and running the app?
Hey, i´m a new to rubiks and want to buy my first one since it´s been something on my bucket list to learn how to solve one of these. Me and my friends wanna compete who is the fastest learner so which should i buy? Which got the best app support to show the result of each solves?
I thought this was a solid review, until you started complaining about the games, at which point I realized you were a bit of a doofus. It's great that you don't want to play games, but for kids who are using the cube to learn how to solve, and to get comfortable with manipulating it, the games make perfect sense.
Hey, i want to buy a smart cube, but i dont know which one. Im currently debating bitween the GAN 356 i v2, GAN 356 i carry, and RUBIKS connected. Do you have any suggestions?

Really would like a 'learn algs mode' e.g. you input a bunch of pll algs and the cube drills you on them.
I just bought a Gan 356i and in the App there is actually an Option to learn Algs, but i have to test it when my Cube arrives :)

RedKB, don't forget that the Giiker has an open API. So web timers like cstimer and others also work with it. That's epic!

My man, you need to learn some cfop. I only know like 20 easy algorithms, and I got a sub 20 avg of 5. Think it was 14 seconds.

RainbowTacoBro like the first 20 f2l Alf’s on gan sheet, 2-3 oll’s from Ortega, and u perms, h, z, a’s and j’s
