I think that the best thing about this show is the characters, so I’ll always enjoy these “backstory “ episodes. What distinguishes these characters from the ones in other genre shows is that they grow and change and they don’t forget themselves from episode to episode. They keep carrying their baggage instead of setting it down at the beginning of each episode.
I agree, I love shows that actually develop characters, and this show does it extremely well.
So true
Aeryn telling D'argo she'd never tell anyone about his son proved that she "could be so much more," as John told her.
The character work on this series is why it remains one of my favorites.
Great episode...the absolute horror in Zhaan's voice when she realizes what Macton did...
I’m genuinely jealous of your adventure in the Farscape series. I adore this series and love seeing more people discover it. Also fun fact Lani Tupu Who plays Crais is also the voice of pilot.
This is a really solid episode that for some reason, I always forget exists. Our first real D'Argo centered episode and much needed for the character.
A great D'argo episode. Some great backstory here. And some good character development with the crew and esp D'argo and Eeryn.
It was interesting to see Dargo's old "I", not to mention the sensational news that his wife was one of the peacekeepers!
Loved this episode and your reaction! Keep up your amazing reactions!
It's funny how fast life support being shut off can effect ships in SciFi. You're talking five people on a VERY large ship. It would actually take a while for them to use up the available oxygen in a ship of that size.
Great reaction! Things are about to start getting REALLY interesting now! :)
We love people with issues!
Plot arcs Laid down so subtly in a sea of standalones that you hardly remember when they started... S1 is great for this.
Dargo lying is revealed in Back and back..... But it's hidden in a small conversation.
This was a fun episode full of character development.
I Love the DRDs. They’re like Moya’s white blood cells.
This is a good episode. I like this one because it goes into D’Argo’s background
Thanks again, I enjoyed your reaction. Great job.
This episode makes it understandable that D'Argo cut off Pilot's arm.
I thought there was a possibility Zhaan and Dargo might fall in love but then they wrote the characters to fall for different characters. I didn’t mind that.
Pilot IS my favorite character of the series.
You are such a terrific reacter!!
You're always such a joy to watch.
This episode sets the stage for some of the more serialized storytelling in Farscape, especially in seasons 2 and 3. Overall the episode is okay (not great, but good) but it leads to some big stories later on.
I loved hearing all your speculation and knowing what you were getting right and what you got wrong. It was lots of fun. And proves I probably shouldn't actually watch this with any newbies cause Id definable give stuff away watching them and reacting to their reactions.
10:06, Mmm, Firefly?
Good suggestion. The odd thing about this show though is that like say Dr Who or Buffy usually within a minute or so I remember the story although not necessarily all the wee details. I think firefly would require a complete re-watch before seeing the reaction.
I loved this episode but I didn't like them dismissing what was done to pilot in the last episode. There should have been more of a fallout about it.
There is. Pilot is snippy at them in the beginning. He's not happy.
@@andyventures6574 yeah but not near as much as I expected. I guess because I was pretty mad and was 100% done with the ones involved at that point.
@@frozenpiper2 I think the whole getting starved of nutrients thing may have tempered his anger.
Just because I'm that guy, pretty sure the title is _They've_ Got a Secret.
Oh is it? It's been a long time since I watched. May have read the boxset wrong. I'll double check. Cheers.
