Gotta love Aeryns smile when she executes her plan. So pleased with herself! Thank you!

Watching you react to these episodes makes me remember what it felt like to watch them during the original run, not knowing what's coming and all the speculation we had from week to week.
This episode is the birth of the great Crichton and D'Argo bromance. One of the truly great and fun friendships in SciFi.

I love eps where we see John manipulate. So often shows aren't willing to let their good character/heroes do it unless it is part of a preplanned grand scheme. But a smart person who doesn't want violence would probably turn to manipulation. In my opinion these ruses show his smarts and survival instinct. At the end of the day he was meant to be a scientist and pilot not a soldier so it makes sense. Its also a nice contrast to the others who so often think of violence and battle tactics first. It also makes seeing Aryn be clever with the hologram so great as it shows she is more than a soldier and is getting comfortable with that.
Furlow is one of my favorite side characters in the series so Im glad you appreciated her.
    Thanks for another great reaction.

Great episode! I really loved that through this episode John and Ka Dago were able to establish the basis for a friendship that will push them both in ways neither could anticipate.

So great to see you relishing the show. Seeing how many directions it could go is part of the fun along with the kaleidoscope of references. 🤔🙂

The mechanic, Furlow, is played by Magda Szubanski. She's famous in Australia (like a lot of Farscape guest stars), but better known for comedic roles. Cool to see her playing against type in this one. That air of quiet unimpressed menace she gives off when Crichton gets pushy... brrr.
Mostly though, I see this episode and think "Almost there... almost there..." Only a couple more before the *really* good episodes start. (Not a spoiler as I know you're way past Season 1 by now.)

Oh, additionally, if you aren’t already aware, Lani Tupu who plays Crais is actually in every episode. He also voices Pilot!

Butch and Sundance episode. That is a reference to a Robert Redford movie. I love this one. Ferlow is a great shifty character

Glad you like our accent. That is 100% pure Aussie. You may recognise Magda Szubanski from “Babe”, “Happy Feet” or “The Golden Compass”, not to forget a few episodes of “Neighbours”, though that show’s had so many actors, it’s unlikely.

What is wired about Zhaan is we see abilities she has in this episode that she doesn’t do in future episodes like hiding her scent.

This is a solid episode for mid S1. Never a favorite of mine but it's enjoyable enough.

I think the guy accessing the flight recorder might have been working for Furlow. Then she betrays him to regain Aryen and John’s trust.

Can't stand Craise, he's one dimensional and boring. His vendetta is completely uninteresting. I'm so happy they finally replace him with a decent antagonist.
