Love the John and Aeryn interactions in this episode! They have such great chemistry 😊
The best part of this episode highlights the chemistry between Ben Browder and Claudia Black, their last scene where they both turn to look at each other was unscripted.
This is one of the best first kisses in a series, mainly because it happened so early in the series instead of dragging out the sexual tension unnecessarily like, as you mentioned previously, X-Files or so many other series.
5:33 the whole farscape series is insane and that's part of its beauty 😄

This series is many things, but predictable is most certainly not one of them. :)
I'd been waiting for this episode to come around, because I knew you'd like how it ended based on your earlier statements. Its just a good all around episode, too.
And yes, Rygel is such a great character that many people overlook. His actions will surprise you, in good ways and bad ways, but he's well written and his characterization is always spot-on.
This is a strange little episode that in its own way, is entirely indicative of what this show actually is. It's frelling mental. Some really nice John/Aeryn stuff, which got the shippers little hearts a-fluttering at the time. Ben and Claudia have tremendous chemistry together.

I missed seeing your reaction to Staanz's reveal at the end. It was a such a great line out of nowhere, and D'Argo's own reaction was priceless.

This show did a great job of taking the popular tropes of the time and turning them on their heads. I’m glad that they got this John/Aeryn thing going instead of having John go full-on Kirk and bang a new alien babe in each episode.
I honestly didn't have anything to say specific to the episode. I just wanted to tell you how happy I am that you're enjoying this so much. The joy is contagious. And I needed to smile today. 😏
Unlike The X-Files the love story in Farscape is pretty perfect. 15 years later and they are still my favorite ship. It has has everything.
Same. It’s kinda funny... I actually started the “John and Aeryn Should Get Together Society” back on the old scifi channel boards when the show first aired.
I bow down to you, Sir.
My favorite sci-fi romance is still from B5 (no spoilers because she just started it), because while they still had chemistry, it actually felt like an adult relationship that developed organically. In most shows regardless of the ages involved, the characters act like hormonal teenagers. (Not saying that John and Aeryn don't work well together, but they definitely have that classic TV "will they/won't they/can they just move on to the good stuff."

Do you know how Farscape got it's name? The Script Writer that came up with the idea was having a lot of problems with his ex-Girlfriend. So he decided to put his opinion of her in the Title, but, as an anagram. He called her Crap Fase, rearranged the letters and that how Farscape got it's name. Oh! all right. I made that up. LOVED your Reactions to this Episode.
yeah most american television is like the x files, it usually takes THAT LONG for a first kiss! lol I remember seeing this for the first time being mind blown it was like half way through season 1!!! great reaction! :)
While I saw the show long before Edge of Tomorrow, the odd chemistry between John and Aeryn remarkably similar.
My Dad taught me CPR when I was younger, while I was in the Boy Scouts.

For me the highlight of this ep isnt the kiss. Its seeing john able to do Repairs. I love that He doesn't stay ignorant and inept. He's a scientist and astronaut who is trapped on a ship with what else to do? It makes sense he would learn. Seeing him want to learn to fly and able to do repairs makes sense. To many times on shows characters dont learn or if they so it isnt gradual and organic. Instead there is lots of fumbling then a montage or it changes between seasons or such. With John we see him slowly learn and integrate.
After this, maybe Stargate reactions...the last 2 seasons of SG-1 should be surreal...
Man, some people didn't like Vala...but she really was the best part of those last two seasons and it was so clear how much fun Claudia was having.
Rygel is somebody you can love to hate as the show goes on, and what he does of course

8:30 I had to get a shot once and the doctor told me it wasn't going to hurt. It was a shot directly into a nerve and it felt like he stuck a needle connected to the mains. I said, "You said it wouldn't hurt."
He said, "I didn't feel a thing."
He was an asshole, but he was a really good doctor.
I wish you could do 2 episodes a week.
The game Rygel plays looks like cross between Backgammon and Chess
The Zentian pirate episode and Stsnz is a funny character.

I can always switch it next week if its triggering for everyone. To be honest I may have just read the order wrong, who knows.
@@medusacascade It doesn't really matter IIRC cos they centre round different character developments. I'd just leave it. the boxset that does irritates me is American Gothic cos that switches about a lot. Mind you at least all the episodes are there.
