It is unfortunate *Farscape* isn't popular among reactors. Of course that means we look forward to _these reactions_ all the more!
Exactly, ditto what he said. Thanks Medusa.
Farscape is definitely one of those shows that makes you laugh and cry! No other show can be so ridiculous and silly one second and serious and heartbreaking the next. You're in for a crazy ride!
now how did you post this 4 weeks ago..

Fridays from 1999 - 2004 were MY favorite day of the week. GOD I miss this show so much.
Fun fact - the villain Namtar is ratman spelled backwards.
OOOH great trivia!
What happens to Aeryn in this episode will be built upon in future episodes. That is what I love about this show. The character growth is so good.
I had to keep reminding myself that Zhaan was dealing with her "darkness" in this episode....it was the only way I could forgive her for her role in what they did to Pilot. I knew Rygel would not be concerned and D'Argo desperation has been no secret. (none of that stopped me from screaming HOW DARE YOU!!!!!!!!!! at the tv screen)
Was going to make the same comment!
She's a formidable being and it's all good when she's a chill space hippie, but scary when she can't rein in those dark impulses!
This is one of my favorite episodes of the first season. Apparently Claudia Blacks parents visited the set for the first time during the filming of this episode, specifically the day that she spent half-hidden behind the curtain. It's such a deep and complex universe and the characters created by The Henson Company is so rich and rewarding. Thank you for reacting to this.
I'm enjoying your Farscape journey! I'm glad that you've become invested in the show. There are so many wonderful things to come.
Great reaction! This show was one of the best sci-fi shows of its time and still holds up very well after 20+ years. The ride is just beginning...keep 'em coming!! :)
So glad you stuck with this show, it only gets more and more intense and fun!!! Having a great time revisiting it with you, thank you for sharing!
SF doesn't need explosions and chase/action scenes constantly (although it is nice to have them) to make a good show; it is story and character that drives the show. Something that today's writers and showrunners have forgotten or just never learned.
I love pilot. He's such an incredible puppet creation
Muppet. Not a puppet. Puppets have strings. The Jim Henson Company is the company that did Sesame Street, and then Farscape; he coined the term "muppets" to describe his creations.
@@Christobanistan Incorrect. You are thinking about marionettes. Puppets usually don't have strings. Muppets are a specific brand of puppets. Pilot is a puppet.
It makes me smile when people love farscape❤
The funny thing about this villain, Namtar, is his name. Backwards it is Ratman.
This show does alot of things well but villains in particular Are a highlight for me. It was lots of fun to see how you reacted to this one and his schemr.
Behind the scenes fact, Pilot doesn't get angry too often, because than we hear the real voice of Lani Tupu. Check his IMDB page to see his other famous role. 🤐
In was so mad when they cut Pilot's arm off. It was such a betrayal and I was ready for them to leave Moya.
My fav episode by far. The premise of a lab rat getting the best of its tormentors is SO goddamned original, and well executed! The fact that he treats others the way he was treated even makes him a truly sympathetic figure. He was never loved, he was used, and so he used others in an equally heartless manner.
This episode, paired with "PK Tech Girl" is where the show really starts to show you what the series was capable of doing. This is the first Aeryn centered episode and Claudia Black really delivers a powerful performance. Get used to that. That's what she does.
I know this is a year late in saying, but the actor who plays Crise is also the voice of Pilot. And they are all my favorite characters. Well, Chiana is probably my most favorite.
Creatures are from Jim Henson's Creature Shop. He created the Muppets
When I thought I had worked them all out, something would happen to contradict my opinion. I liked that.
That's one of the things FarScape did SO well. These aren't just characters or archetypes. They're PEOPLE, and they act like it.
'Is there some kind of Frankenstein $#iT going down?' ....ding-ding-ding...Correctamundo.
Erin Sun definitely performed better than the others, who just went crazy thinking they could go home.
This was my favorite episode of the season. And you have yet to meet 2 amazing characters this season.
I'm watching Season 3, I'm quite far ahead 😁
@@medusacascade to avoid spoilers; Sco and Chi really round out the cast, but this was the hook for me.

There are many secrets in the past of the characters. What I don't know, is whether they were all planned at the beginning of the overall plotline.
Nope. They improvised quite a bit as the show went along. There are a couple of major examples that develop in S1, but they're still spoilers at this point.
@@vor78 They planned out most of it.
Aeryn is the best character on Farscape, imho. But then again, I love Claudia Black so much haha ❤❤
I adore Aeryn 😍
She's insanely beautiful.
“What if she doesn’t have a ‘home planet?’”
Me, having watched all of Farscape- 😏
0:20, care to double it?
If anyone offers to inject you with something that is supposed to be great and helpful, especially in a crisis, remember this episode.

What's it like being a rube?
