To many people who don’t live in Coventry this video probably won’t mean a lot, but to me it’s amazing to see what life was life back then. People dressed smart, the roads were clean, life looked better…I’m glad you recorded this footage for us all to see 30+ years later, thank you 🙏🏼 amazing stuff…

2,48 mins that shop just barely in sight was janjuas save a lot , And the original army navy surplus store , I went to st Mary’s school behind it. , knocked down ages ago now.

I went to St Mary’s too, ‘84 to ‘92. Think it was knocked down around 2002, thereabouts.

Apart from the cars and buses, it doesn’t look much different from now, although theres a lot more boarded up houses
