    Thank you! I was planning on buying a bottle of spray that attaches to the hose head tomorrow, but I am thinking this method might be more effective. Have you ever tried those premixed liquids?

      @@alexisg7644 I have tried some of the premixed liquids you attach to the end of a hose. I found they did not effectively remove the green residue on our house. I may be able to get it off with several bottles for each side of the house. By that time, I'd be spending a fortune on cleaner.
      I hope you find this method as effective as we do. It seems to melt the grime right off the house. It rinses clean and residue free. It doesn't harm any of our flowers, shrubs, plants, or grass.
      Thanks for watching and commenting! 🙂

      @@sawdustandcornbread Thank you so much for the help. I will try your way. I thought one bottle would do an entire house lol that would cost way more than I can afford rn

    Did you rinse the siding with a hose?

    • @sawdustandcornbread
      @sawdustandcornbread  Год назад +1

      Yes. I used my regular garden hose to give the siding a quick spray before and rinse afterwards. Thanks for watching and for your question. 🙂

    what is the active ingredient in the dandruff Shampoo you used? Some have zinc. Others have other materials. Thanks much.

    • @sawdustandcornbread
      @sawdustandcornbread  Год назад +1

      The one I use (Equate Head and Shoulders) lists zinc as the "active ingredient." That being said, I noticed the zinc in these shampoos ends up settling about an inch thick in the bottom of the bottle. This irks me as a former cosmetic formulator. The emulsion system isn't very stable. If you use it for dandruff shake it up good! 😆 This also tells me the zinc probably isn't doing the magic on my siding. My guess is it's the surfactants and other de-bridding agents in the dandruff shampoo. I can't pinpoint exactly which ingredients make it work, but it sure does a great job!
      Hope this helps. 🤷‍♀️ Thanks for watching. 🙂

    A bleach solution of water , bleach , and 1 Oz laundry detergent per gallon works way better. A light ratio would be 6-10% bleach , fast acting more like 15-20% if household bleach is used instead of the pro stuff. Pre wet the grass with a water hose, cover all plants in the way , let it sit on the house for 15 min then spray off with hose. Your house will remain mildew free for years if your not in a high risk area. No scrubbing You spray it on with a sprayer from home depot and watch the magic . A house that size and be done in less than an hour .

      Thanks for the tip. We used a similar method with bleach water for years. The overspray, mist, and runoff always ended up on my clothes, face, and arms. I could smell the bleach smell for days. I love the way the dandruff shampoo/peroxide melts off the green stuff with no scrubbing at all. Best of all, my lungs, skin, and clothes aren't damaged by bleach.
      Another secret...the same peroxide/dandruff mix works great for porcelain tubs and sinks! No more smelly bleach. It actually descales, debrids, and washes away soap scum and build up. It's amazing!

    You're already going over the whole house with a roller and mop. Just as much work as scrubbing it.
    You might as well just scrub it and rinse it.

      Thanks for the comment. The roller and mop are applying the product. No scrubbing is required. It melts right off like magic. It works a lot like scrub free products for sinks and showers. You wipe them on and rinse them off. As a matter of fact, you can use this on sinks and tubs. It's great! Thanks for watching.
