  • In the heart of the renowned city of Caltagirone stands Villa Jacona, a majestic example of a noble residence which, built in 1886, well represents the splendor of nineteenth-century Sicily. The amazing facade, characterized by perfectly preserved precious ceramic decorations, makes the villa a real jewel set in the greenery of the luxuriant garden: in 9,000 square meters there is an ancient citrus grove, tall trees and a romantic avenue bordered by centuries-old cypresses. The villa is divided into three floors: the ground floor, measuring approximately 250 m2, is used as a reception hall with reception and services; on the first floor, of about 200 square meters, there is the kitchen, the living room with fireplace, two bedrooms with en suite bathrooms and the splendid octagonal-based living room with high frescoed ceilings. The entire floor overlooks the garden, whose colors and scents pleasantly enter the rooms thanks to the numerous balconies and large terraces. On the second floor there are a kitchen, three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a living room which gives access to the highest terrace, from which you can admire the entire property. The garden also houses an outbuilding, a storeroom and toilets used during the events that take place in the magical atmosphere of the park, to which is added a second habitable building, divided into two large rooms with services and a large storage room. What makes Villa Jacona unique is that it is a town residence and at the same time a villa full of fascinating memories of the past, which seem to resurface in the gentleness of the numerous avenues that wind along the garden.
