Over the years -different cars...different break downs but Ive got to say that we have always used AA and they are the best...the lads that have helped us out at various times have been amazing going above and beyond and staying cheerful...excellent service...re the sense of hunour thing James I really do think that a lot of people do not get the deadpan northern sense of humour...my nephew has gone to uni in Falmouth - he's from Halifax and people around him just do not get when he is joking and think he is being serious...don't worry about it James...it's them southerners!! My partner is an AA member, they are very good, her radiator bottom hose clip broke, he even checked the water with a chemical marker to check if the head gasket had been damaged, but it was ok as she knows to pull in and turn off engine asap, then he followed her to her workplace and rechecked for coolant leaks, brilliant. Gaz Yorkshire.

Sorry to hear about your van breaking down James and you and Helen getting food poisoning from something you both had. Over the years I’ve visited plenty of places in Kent from London but Canterbury, Whitstable, Broadstairs, Ramsgate and Margate are some of the most memorable for me. Sometimes we have crap weeks and shitty ppl annoy us but just remember for every shitty person you encounter there’s hundreds of us that love you. Don’t change James- you and Helen are 2 brilliant ppl that 99% of us can relate to. ❤ I have diesel golf and had endless problems with the DPF. I was up and down the motorway from wakey to the Lakes every weekend so it was having good runs but still wasn’t regen itself so in the end had it removed. You’d be surprised how many ppl have had theirs removed cos of this problem.

I'm a electrician iv used vans most of my working life. And my favourite is a ford transit. Simply has the best turning circle. And loads of srorage areas. And good for getting spare parts etc.

Hi James, I had a similar dpf filter warning on my previous car and was advised by my garage to take the car for a 10 to 15 mile run on the motorway but keep the car revving fairly high. This pushes the engine a bit without thrashing it. Apparently it helps clear the carbon on the dpf filter. This cleared our issue. Ignore the nasty messages, just delete them as soon as you see negativity 👍 people for some reason like to be arses.

Sorry to hear about your van problems James. When I ran my courier business I spent a lot of time looking at vans, space etc… the best ones for space without a shadow of a doubt are either the Peugeot Boxer or Citroen Relay. I had the LWB Relay and couldn’t fault it at all!!

Agreed about the crafter or sprinter… if you get one of those you won’t necessarily need to go for a very new one as they are so well built and the engines are amazing! So you could easily go for a 10 year old

Hey James. We watch a narrowboat couple on RUclips called Ben and Emily, and they did up an old ambulance to travel in. Really cool couple living a great alternative lifestyle. If the dpf light comes on,take it for a 20-30min drive at a steady 30-50mph drive and it normally clears it.

I have diesel golf and had endless problems with the DPF. I was up and down the motorway from wakey to the Lakes every weekend so it was having good runs but still wasn’t regen itself so in the end had it removed. You’d be surprised how many ppl have had theirs removed cos of this problem.

I'm a electrician iv used vans most of my working life. And my favourite is a ford transit. Simply has the best turning circle. And loads of srorage areas. And good for getting spare parts etc.
Someone else recommended Transits but then some people absolutely hate them. Funny enough the AA use them so they cant be that bad.

Hi James, I had a similar dpf filter warning on my previous car and was advised by my garage to take the car for a 10 to 15 mile run on the motorway but keep the car revving fairly high. This pushes the engine a bit without thrashing it. Apparently it helps clear the carbon on the dpf filter.
This cleared our issue.
Ignore the nasty messages, just delete them as soon as you see negativity 👍 people for some reason like to be arses.

Sorry to hear about your van problems James. When I ran my courier business I spent a lot of time looking at vans, space etc… the best ones for space without a shadow of a doubt are either the Peugeot Boxer or Citroen Relay. I had the LWB Relay and couldn’t fault it at all!!

I have the same sense of humour as you, so i can understand people who don't actually know you can take things the wrong way. The main thing is the ones that do know you realize it's just banter. You just be yourself (Victor) and take no notice of the sad comments from those that have nothing better to do. You probably have a far better life than they do. They're more than likely stuck in a little bedsit day after day, while you're out there traveling and meeting new people everyday. So cheer up misery guts and carry on just being you!

Hey James. We watch a narrowboat couple on RUclips called Ben and Emily, and they did up an old ambulance to travel in. Really cool couple living a great alternative lifestyle. Anyway, the ambulance was a great choice as it had a good service history being an ambulance and already insulated etc. Love your videos, take care guys. 😊
