- I went to a couple Targets today and spent $50 on baseball cards. The goal was to get the best cards that I could for $50. Check out what I ended up picking up and see who I pulled from the packs!

Wow. Watching this in 2021 is crazy just ignoring 2019 series 2, a chrome tatis update all of the crazy boxes on the shelves then that have gone up 5x in value
Buying cards is a risk now, like he said. Man, that makes me miss being a kid, when buying cards was a tiny loss on a bad day. Now you can spend $50 and leave with fire starter lol

@Obama The Liberal Sicko that's very true, you can buy cards that used to be a fortune for like 10$ now. Problem is they are continuing to lose value so it's still a loss.

I recently picked up a factory cello sealed set of 86 donruss at a really cheap price ! 25.00 mainly because I'm a huge Canseco fan ! Iv had it for a while and I'm dying to open the pack containing the Canseco , Mcgriff rookies .Iv contemplated and contemplated justification for opening them . The pack containing the rated rookies are perfectly centerd on both the front and back card with the corners appearing sharp . If I have perfect centering on both the front and back card in the pack does that mean the ones in the middle should be to ? If so I feel strongly I have a great chance at gem mint 10 Canseco and Mcgriff ! Your knowledge would greatly be appreciated have a good day
At 30 cents a pack you could have bought 160 packs for $50 back in the day.
@@visaman Nowadays for some products, you can't even get 2 blaster boxes for that price. $30 blasters aren't too common (yet), but they're becoming more and more frequent.

Walgreens carries the $5 Fairfield boxes & now carries Walgreens exclusive Yellow Parallel rookies in 2019 Topps Update Series hangar boxes & also has series 1 & 2 hangar boxes as well (non-exclusive)
Love that keston hiura rookie debut card and that peter Alonso rookie card and that yusei kikuchi short print and that rookie debut card of Fernando tatis jr
The Walmart card section in my area looks like a war zone.

Had I collected Magic the gathering cards in the mid 90's instead of baseball, basketball, football and hockey the cards might of been worth something.
i could never get in to them tho.... all them cards my pals played are bad condition tho
Eric you should do a series like this when you and your brother spend like 30 dollars on cards at a target, Amazon, Walmart, and stuff like that where the other person doesn’t know what you bought and then you open your packs and the fans pick who won/ had the better cards.
Love the senior league! Craig nettles, Bert campaneris and many others played in this league which lasted 2 pr 3 years in Florida

I found 4 boxes of vintage baseball, some football and some basketball from 9161 and up to 90's but don't know the value.. I have like 800 cards. Where can I get the value??
2019 update is going down because Topps is producing alot more then years past. Collectors are catching on.
Plus it usually takes the next season for rookies in an update set to produce results the very next season. Let's take last season's update as an example
What is a short print and how can you tell a card is a short print?
Great variety of cards for 50$. I was always curious about rhe hot corner boxes. They recently started stocking them in my target.
The new hot corner boxes aren’t even worth buying anymore. Wish they’d switch those packs up
Very true, I was getting great packs out of those until about a month ago. I've bought about 5 that consisted of Big League, Opening Day, an old fleer pack and a 2008 Donruss elite as my hobby. At that point it isn't even fun ripping the packs.
Would you recommend 2019 set 1,2 or update?
I bought 3 of the 2019 Topps Chrome Value packs with the pink refractor cards from Target last week and pulled a Pete Alonso auto! One of my best pulls of the year besides my 2019 Clearly Authentic Ohtani T206 auto out of 25
I gave up on those hot 🔥 Corner boxes bout a month ago. But that's a nice hit of Kikuchi. I've been opening up a lot of those packs and I've never seen that short print. Keep up the good work I love this series.

I dont like any of these pre made things with "hits" the packs inside are decent and the "hits" are pre chosen trash cards that no one has ever heard of. 90% of the time.
Agreed. Also, not sure about baseball, but some of the soccer re-packed boxes that I find are packaged by third-party companies that weigh the packs. I've been collecting for about 8 years now, and have never found anything worth the price I paid for those types of things.
I bought two of the Hot Corner Boxes yesterday....I pulled a Derrick Rose relic from the 2008 Donruss Elite pack. I was very confused.

Altuve’s homer off of Chapman was an 84 mph slider. If he had thrown Altuve fastballs, chances are that he would’ve gotten Altuve out.
If topps was smart they would start throwing insane hits in retail. It's the most accessible way to buy cards for most folks and easist.
Saw cards for sale at Dicks Sporting goods which I thought was kind of weird. They had Topps 2017 Series two packs and Dunruss 2018. Also the dollar stores. Ive seen Topps Update Yellow at Walgreens up here. About it, I am going to the local Walmart to buy Topps Heritage that I saw on clearance 14$ blaster boxes.

Been watching your videos so tonight I went and bought one pack of the Topps 2019 series 2. Got a couple RC cards but the 2 that standed out was a Vladimir Guerrero Guerrero Jr and a Fernando Tatis Jr
I am confused on how you know for sure it’s a short print? You pointed out 31 and 62, but where actually on the card? Any info is appreciated!!!
It's on the back of the card at the very bottom in small print. It will say "code#" then it's the end of that number chain. You can find what they represent for each set at the Cardboard Connection website. Hope that helps!

Target no longer gets clearance boxes..I havn't seen them in mine for a few years now.
Check out Rite-aid the have packs that cost $5 and you can get cards from the late 70s to present. 1 in 4 have a hit. And you get one sealed pack. The sealed pack is usually fro the junk wax era. But you do find decent cards i actually pulled a mike trout RC where he is sliding to the base. And for $5 BUCKS you cant complain
I bought a new box of hot corner yesterday and got a Stan Musial auto. Not too bad. You never know.
Grabbed a box from Target the other day and it also had the Fat Pack of 2019. It did have a Stan Musial Leaf Autograph so I cant complain.

Try Big Lots. I found 2018 Topps Fat Packs there for $5 ea.

I just pulled a Gerrit Cole auto relic out of /10 from Topps holiday . I always check my Walmart and target see what they got the other day I found 3 2018 Topps update packs out at Walmart the guy was just putting them out and I got them before he put them on the self lol
50$ is best if you want to start football baseball or basketball cards you can get 120 card box for 25
Out of two of hot corner boxes I bought both had 2013 panini prizm and both had autos one was craig biggio which was an expired redemption but I still got it and a Tyler flowers

I thought short prints are the gold numbers on certain cards (1/25 or 24/99) those are short prints
