Cut the ends off an extension and weld them on some hex shaft. Put a wrench on it and hit THAT with a hammer. That way it's indexable.
That's what I'D do, anyway. I usually just grab the socket or extension with Channellocks for some extra leverage when the impact isn't enough. The pliers grip better on impact stuff than chrome.

4:44 to answer your question, the tactile membrane switch require 2 wires that goes to the processor on the main board. The main board send 4 different channels back at the switch for the 4 modes illumination ( 4 positive + 1 negative wires ) total of 7 wires. Also, since you tested the torque while it was at the number 2 position, the machine stopped as soon as it sense a preset amount of amps on the motor. That's why it was stopping every 2 seconds. Also the last position is a sudden amperage motor draw rise detection, it will chooch until the nut makes contacts and start to tighten a bit, and it will stop. Giving you the opportunity to finish the torque application manually afterward.

That "interesting startup routine" at 11:40 is because you have it in 4th mode in reverse. What it's trying to do is apply a lot of torque in order to get a bolt moving, then backing the power right off so it doesn't immediately fly off the thread. Looks wack when you're not actually using it.

I have been using mine for about a year now. Some issues is has is you have to be very careful not to dent the back cover. The other issue it has is that it likes to get stuck in between the impact dogs, which causes it to not turn freely, which makes the soft insert function not work until you get it to pop down to the next dog, which can be annoying when putting headbolts or something in.

Absolutely brilliant invention. When you wreck the bearings by radially loading them (axially? Do I look like I have a degree in scientology?) with the shock from the hammer, you create the perfect excuse to buy a new tool.

I'd buy a Make-It-Happeneator 3000, decidedly. Stick an extra wing on there for balance and Always Ultra chic, and make it so that the big pipe wrenches can get a good grip on it, and you're in business. Maybe make the square drive sections look less like they were hacked out by a drunk beaver, give it a coat of that special Chinese paint that makes it "impact rated", call it good.

I think the impact attacker hacker is next to useless for an impact. I have a hunch theres going to be some timing induced uselessness. However that's pure gold for a standard breaker bar or ratchet. Brilliant Watson. Perfect for those coastal suspension repairs. Might even replace the torch on those hard to bust nuts.

When I was employed at manual labor, our impact sockets, especially in the larger sizes needed for truck wheel R&R, had dents on the side from hammer blows delivered to aid the torque delivery. That really wasn't seemly so I found some scabrous extensions that never came off a name brand tool truck in 1/2" & 3/4" and just welded on a cut off scrap of heavy mild steel plate to the shank. I clamped 'em down, did the welds and then warmed 'em back up after so as to relive some of the stresses of the weld. They worked for me but I didn't let 'em get loose in the shop for anyone else to injure themselves on. I only used 'em as needed and as a last resort; yer invent is on the right track.

5:04min- that switch looks that it would have 4 separate leds around it for selection choice and you have the input/output of the switch, so I see use for 6 the wires and the 7th could be ground.

The problem I always have with the "right angle" impacts is that it assumes you don't already own all the extensions, wobbles, and adapters to be 6 feet away from whatever it is you hate so much that it needs to be impacted. Add to that that not a single one of them is worth their weight or space in the box seems like a lost confusion between marketing and engineers, when neither has used or seen used their own tools.

That's odd your tactile switch doesn't light up on the setting. My Wilfuckyee stubby illuminates on the setting it's set to, underneath the number itself (so ye don't have to use the ear to guess at the setting). That's also the reason for the thickness of that board (the LEDs live in there). I'm wondering if one of the connections got cut.
At leas that's the way things are on the island of Torquay.
